The staff was very nice, the room was exactly that we saw in the advertising, very clean, very good towels and mattress. We had a coffee machine inside as well the capsules. We're surprised with the glass between room and bathroom and we loved, so charming! Other side of the street we can count with good coffee shops and meals.
I'm sorry but there's nothing boutique about this hotel, apart from the name. The room is a plastic box and that's it. The bathroom is tiny and there's no space to put your toiletries. The walls are dirty and need urgent painting and the white floor is scratched everywhere. The bed doesn't not have any extra pillows ( just one thin pillow each) therefore t's very uncomfortable to sit and watch the TV. There was only a thin sheet not a duvet. I appreciate it was summer but if you claim to be a boutique hotel, at least provide your guests with summer duvet. Unfortunately the sleep quality doesn't get any better, you can hear everyone and everything around you. Guests upstairs and those coming back late will wake you up at night and you will get woken up by housekeeping in the morning. The only positive was the staff, very pleasant and attending. The rooftop terrace is a very nice feature.…
This hotel is fine for what we paid & quite central but it just felt it was hard work at times. Firstly just to point out despite the trip advisor picture in the search function this hotel does not have a pool. Check-In was not swift, we arrived at 9:30pm so ideally wanted a swift check-in so as to get some food. It appeared that the couple in front wanted to use reception as a tourist information service also and hence we had to wait for 20 minutes. I appreciate the lovely service at reception but they could have quickly seen to us in the interim. The room was badly designed, and needs to use the small space available better. There was no storage space of any use and nowhere to put your toiletries in the bathroom. The safe is above the fridge which gives off heat - meaning the contents of the safe felt like they had just been pulled out of an oven set at gas mark 2 (not great for my laptop) There is a glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom (why do these designers keep doing this?) A roller blind is installed to provide privacy but did not give 100% coverage. Each person is provided with only one pillow and only a thin sheet provided on the bed. Needed to request a blanket. We had to request extra shower gel, and toilet paper and the sink in the bathroom was blocked. Given that the lift is comical and painfully slow going to reception felt like a real chore. I’d suggest requesting a room on a lower floor. On a positive note Shower was great. Air con was good. Beds were comfortable. Tv was good with a number of English language stations. Rooftop was a great space but it’s not manned during the day. Great selection of eateries nearby. Great location …
Nice hotel compact rooms, handy location. Staff very helpful and polite. Hotel was clean and in a good state of repair. Rooftop terrace is a suntrap although the bar was not in operation. I wish they would replace the coffee machines in the superior rooms with a kettle and some mugs. Fridge and safe very useful. Don't bother with breakfast it's expensive up against the prices in the corner cafe (La Scala) opposite the hotel entrance.
Faro Boutique Hotel provided the perfect stay – from arrival to departure the staff are welcoming, most helpful and kind. They directed me to a local restaurant for fabulous fresh seafood, and go out of their way to accommodate guest requests. Client service excellence at its best! Thank you for a fabulous hotel experience.
