This place is terrible. It’s like they took an old house and then put a bed into every room. I had a room in the middle of the building with no window and poor lighting so it was constantly very dark. The owner also wouldn’t let me change my dates by one night after I missed my flight despite being mostly empty. Add in the fact they charged me before I even checked in and it was feeling very much like a expensive scam. For the same price you can get an Airbnb on the beach.

This is a lovely original old building, very friendly and cosy. It is clean and the rooms are bright and airy. It has a good communal indoors sitting room and big kitchen well equipped. It is a good economy place for staying as it is close to the bus and train and central location. Little shops close by too. Staff very nice. Some rooms have bathrooms and they are good, hot water, towels etc. It is very good our only issue was the great communal terrace as there was a man who would not stop talking and a bit aggressive and impossible to get away from. So we had to stay in our room when we did escape.

For the night they close the kitchen, where guests leave their food items in the fridge. Every room has its own big Tupperware provided by the hostel. Unfortunately, they didn't open the kitchen the next day on time. No staff was around, so we called the hostel number. We were told somebody will come, but it was not the case. Me and my daughter left without breakfast and our food items to the airport. I stayed in Faro before and I have been to a nicer hostel with nicer staff to a cheaper price.

My bed was comfortable and the staff friendly but it's in a busy area with bars and a dance club do it's noisy(all good if your up for a night out) drunk plonker shouting in the commune area at 4 o'clock in the morning was fun.

This place is terrible! We booked a room with a bathroom but got given a room without a window and no bathrooms! Everything about the place disgusts me and I've stayed in some shady places. So many other nicer places just as cheap elsewhere. Avoid!
