Paid less than £40 a night in August to stay here with breakfast, can't complain whatsoever. Yes it's an older hotel but we found the staff very friendly and the place to be clean and following good covid practice. Not far from the town or train station.
Dont know why people are complaining about this hotel. For approx 55 euro, you have a double room, air con, private bathroom, balcony, Loads of english speaking tv channels. A Great breakfast. Very clean and comfortable bed. Lovely staff. Not even 10 mins to train/ bus / centre of faro. If you want to stay in a 4 star hotel in faro n pay mega bucks then do. But there is nothing wrong with this hotel. Yes surrounding area looks run down, but totally SAFE. DO not have any worries about booking this place.
This is a great little hotel for the budget traveller. Spotlessly clean, decent size rooms and an aircon unit that pumps out heat as well. In the bathroom there is a hairdryer, shower gel, soap and shampoo which are replaced daily. You can ask at reception for a kettle. The reception staff are so helpful and polite. Special mention must be made of the afternoon receptionist from Moldovia, what a charming lady. We hope you have a beautiful wedding, in the summer!! We found the area very safe even though it looks run down. We are two old ladies and were quiet comfortable walking at night. The main town is about 10minutes walk and the train and bus station are on your doorstep! The breakfast has plenty of choice. Fresh fruit, many cereals, biscuits and breads. There are pastries, cheeses, cold meats and tea and coffee. Don't hesitate to book rooms at this great little hotel.…
Stayed here 15/07/19 - 21/07/19 typical 2 star Portuguese hotel with aircon, tv and onsuite. No frills but best value in town on this very exspensive festival week. If you book here get a double room and book early for a good price, free cancellation on booking. Com
Would not recommend booking here. I only give it two stars because the staff was friendly and helpful and the location is convenient for the train, otherwise this was not an enjoyable place to stay. The major issue I had with it is that in the night while we were sleeping a heavy lampshade fell off the wall above the bed, hit the bed then broke on the floor. Thankfully I had moved the bed a few days earlier since I’m travelling with my mum and we appreciated having a couple feet between our beds instead of them being pushed together as they were when we arrived. If I hadn’t moved the bed the lampshade would have landed very close to my head. The gentleman in the lobby was helpful to come upstairs and clean it up, but it shouldn’t have happened. The shower head does not stay up in the holder without water pressure. When the water gets turned off, it falls down and not knowing that, hit my mum in the shoulder. Then there was the issue of parking, it was hard to find parking some evenings and we had a pretty small car. If you have a bigger car I imagine it’d be even more difficult. There is also no mini fridge and the blow drier didn’t work. The towel rack for the shower towels was located within the shower area, which I found a bit odd and had to move them so they didn’t get wet. I booked this hotel because we were arriving late and leaving early by train so it’s a convenient location for that and was a decent price. But with everything, I should have booked somewhere else.…
