Good value for money, good for professionals who stop over, good connections to the sites in the Algarve with easy access to Loulé, Faro, Mar shopping, Alamancil, and further afield good connection to the A22 motorway.
Booked online and then needed to contact the hotel. The number didn’t connect. Nor did the one on the website. The booking agent contacted them and they said they would reply to an email in an hour. Still no contact despite that and another email I sent them over two weeks later. I couldn’t speak to them about my booking because they were totally uncontactable. Despite this apparent failure of their communication systems their card machine appeared to still work as they took money off me for a booking I couldn’t use and wouldn’t communicate with me so I could discuss it with them. Disreputable owners. Avoid.
The hotel is miles away from where it is said to be. I walked for miles to where TripAdvisor said it was, and it just took me to a housing estate. The locals knew nothing about it. When I tried to get my money back I was told that it was none refundable, even though TripAdvisor had told me the hotel was in a completely different location to what it actually is. If I’d have known where the hotel really was I’d never have booked it in the first place. It’s miles out of town. I couldn’t even get through to the hotel until 12 at night despite several phone calls. I think they said they are closer to town then they are to move up the rankings for hotels to stay at. They basically just stole my money. I’ll probably take them to court!!! Get in touch Golda Sol.
How can the comments say "avoid"???. Not luxury just a lovely B n B . The owner speaks perfect french (and portuguese.!) Its got CHARM even if no hairdryers. It has a pool and is so clean!!! Would come back here.
I can't fault the value for money aspect of this hotel - talk about maximum bangs per buck. The trouble is there were a couple of real problems we encountered which changed our potential review from five stars to significantly lower. The first, and biggest problem was the appalling smell in the bathroom despite the otherwise perfect cleanliness. I assume the hotel is on a septic tank and that they will not use bleach as a result but lifting the toilet seat liberated the most appalling smell EVERY TIME and it was so bad it had us literally gagging. The second problem was the noise. Despite a sign in reception indicating a 1030 curfew it was impossible to shut out the noise unless you were using ear plugs. Now add in the quarrelling dogs outside at all hours of the night and day and a highly vocal rooster... A good nights sleep was very difficult. Now on the plus side, despite the rooms being a little small they are perfectly adequate and kept spotlessly clean. The hotel appears to be family run and they are all very helpful and extremely pleasant. So... Serious attention is needed with respect to the appalling bathroom smell and noise but if that is put right this really would be a great little place to stay. …
