We had a wonderful time at the Salty Lodge. From booking to check out, the staff were incredible and couldn't be more helpful. The accommodation was amazing. We arrived before the check in time and were able to leave our luggage, but we could also use the downstairs seating area as well as a penthouse area with amazing views! The penthouse had a bathroom with shower which we could use if needed as well as a water and coffee machine. Lots of comfy seats which we used throughout our holiday when we wanted to get away from the rest of the family! We had apartment 4B which had an amazing sea view and was large and spacious. A double bedroom as well as another double and single bed in the main living area catered for up to 5 people and I think the couch folded out but we never tried it so cannot be sure. The double bed in the bedroom was so comfortable - we slept incredibly well thought the holiday. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed and came with lots of crockery and other kitchen implements. We loved the location too being right next to the street with the main restaurants and bars but far enough away for it not to be too noisy. If we ever come back we would 100% book this place and apartment next time.

It’s a really great place to stay! Lovely helpful people at the front desk. The whole place looks very cool as well. Small details in your room like fresh oranges in the fruit basket and a new cold bottle of filtered water each day makes it even better.
Only thing I personally missed: softer mattresses. I like sleeping on clouds, makes my spine a lot happier -:)

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Salty Lodge for three nights. We had a streetview 1 bedroom apartment, and thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and space we were provided. The apartment was clean, roomy, stylish, and well stocked. The bed was big and comfortable, and we loved having a small balcony facing the main strip, good for people watching. The rooftop common area at Salty is absolutely beautiful, with great views, and large covered/indoor area to hang out in as well. The location is great, and Lagos is very walkable. We frequented bars and restaurants in the area, and shopped at markets and liquor stores, which allowed us to easily use the kitchen in our apartment. We were stoked on the free bicycles available to guests, and used them to make the trip to Ponte De Piedade much quicker than if we were on foot, but be sure to inspect the bicycles before taking them out, as the first one i grabbed was falling apart a little bit and felt unsafe, but the second bike i used was perfect. The people working the desk at Salty Lodge were both very kind and helpful. The only negative we experienced was not a big deal at all, but it can be a little bit loud here, hearing doors in the hallways close early in the morning, and people in the main street late at night. That didn't tarnish our stay however, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend to friends. Overall a very positive experience. Obrigado!

Salty Lodge was great! We loved having a spacious two bedroom apartment with a small kitchen for our visit to Lagos. The location was ideal for exploring Lagos and the greater Algarve area. We easily walked to various restaurants each night, and the location was centrally located for us to drive to Sagres and Benagil Beach.

The house is in the middle of Lagos' pedestrian zone. Our room with a sea view on the 4th floor can be reached by elevator (not wheelchair accessible as there are stairs in the entrance area). The view from the terrace is very nice, but cannot be compared to the dream view from the roof terrace, which is open to everyone! The apartment is equipped with a decent kitchen and a beautifully tiled bathroom. We found it very nicely furnished and cozy. There was a bedroom with a double bed (a large blanket for both) and in the dining room there was another double bed and a loft bed above it. We didn't try whether the couch in the living room can be converted into a bed. All rooms are air-conditioned. The laminate is only laid moderately well, but this somehow gives the room charm. The house has been freshly renovated and looks really great inside and out. No luxury pomp, just (original) Portuguese. The staff, like all the people here, are very nice and accommodating. You can talk to almost everyone in English. We spent the time until departure on the roof terrace, where we had a shower and a toilet at our disposal, so that we could really enjoy the last day.
A small downside: the cooking smells from the surrounding restaurants waft across the terrace in the evening and the exhaust fans are quite loud.

We stayed 4 nights in February 2025. The apartment was very clean and well equipped with everything needed in the kitchen. The decor was tastefully done and was bright and inviting. The furniture was comfortable for lounging in the evening, and the bed was comfortable. We slept with the bedroom window cracked opened at the top for ideal ventilation and the street noise was minimal at night (although I suspect this could be an issue during peak season). It was easy to communicate with the staff to let them know in advance when we were in town and ready to check in, and we were met with friendly and professional staff when we arrived. The rooftop terrace was a great place to unwind after a busy day and had great views of the town. We will definitely stay here again when in Lagos!

My wife and I visited last week at the Salty Lodge in Lagos and have to say what an experience we had!
Great communication from the staff / perfect location close to everything in old town / beautiful room well equipped / and the terrace is incredible with all types of seating throughout the complete floor inside and outdoors!
Only suggestion was to add a curtain in the room as the neighbours could see into the bedroom area.
Thank you so much for an amzing experience!!!

It is located centrally, which is good to go to places but bad in the evening as it tends to be really noisy from the nightlife.
We stayed in a 1 bed apartment which was nicely furnished, good size and has decent kitchen with dishwasher and also an a/c. Great top floor lounge area with good view of the city and sea.
All their adverts say parking is available but this is not true. You will need to find and pay for your own parking space with one of the car parks closeby.
What really let us down was the service. We had put wet towels on the floor after using them, thinking they would be replaced. Came back in the afternoon and found them still on floor. We were nonchalantly informed by a young man at reception that they do not replace towels (which is not in the website nor were we told at check in) and in fact we should be grateful that we got two, as we had accidentally booked a single occupancy rather than double. I apologised for the booking error and was told it was fine as the price is the same anyway (so not really sure why it was relevant or brought up). We ended up having to buy new towels elsewhere and the receptionist was fairly passive aggressive with us the rest of our stay.
Rather poor and petty service over towels to be honest and smacks of unprofessionalism. Shame as the rest of the place was lovely.
