The photos hardly do the setting justice. The grounds make you feel like you’re in your own principality. There is little reason to leave the estate - but if you do it’s by car only as you can’t comfortably walk to the shops or seaside due to main roads and lack of pavement (given the hills, you’d be brave to walk even with pavements). Lovely views across green hills to the sea. The house itself is vast and quite spacious with an impeccably kitted out kitchen (for those that don’t opt for a caterer). The pool is not heated, but got up to 22 degrees whilst we were there - not bad considering how big it is - and we swam every day of our stay. The house has underfloor heating in the bathrooms and excellent AC/heating in the bedrooms, not to mention blackout blinds, making it the most comfortable rental I’ve ever stayed in. Perfect, if you are travelling with a baby. On top of this, the hosts are wonderful. Very speedy and insightful communication. The house was spotless and the welcome was warm. Very highly recommend staying here.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage during lock-down when we were stranded. The hosts were very understanding of social distancing and left us clean sheets and towels half way through. It felt like a home away from home with its own entrance, parking and outside space. We had access to the garden and pool which are a stunning oasis of tranquility in all the madness. The cottage was clean, spacious and had lots of storage. We stayed with 2 kids and a dog. The property is totally fenced in so was secure for children and animals.

This is a charming traditional quinta located on a bluff overlooking the ocean, with great ocean and coastal - cliff views. Accommodations are varied sizes from studios, to casitas, to larger apartments. A bit rustic but charming with beautiful grounds, pools, yoga, children playground, bar and services. Great breakfast available for a modest price. Good location between two serene beaches within walking or rather hiking distance. Close to the nearby larger seaside and port town of Lagos.

We had the opportunity to spend some time during lockdown in Quinta Bonita.
Our experience was really great, the property is really beautiful and the owners are really nice and accessible.
The breakfast was really nice too, very fresh and not excessive in portions size, just perfect.
Because of the lockdown we could not enjoy the yoga facility but we would love to go back and try it!
It is this kind of place where you don't feel you are in a hotel, but feel really like you have the whole property for you, very homey feel.

My wife and I stayed five nights and really enjoyed this property which is just 10 minutes from the village of Lagos and 5 minutes from village of Luz. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the grounds and pool made a tranquil setting. Breakfast was superb overlooking the hills of the Algarve. Chantal provided excellent service and intel on day trips to the gorgeous in south coast and west coast beaches as well as tips for great restaurants and sites in the area. I highly recommend this property for travelers.

We instantly fell in love with Quinta Bonita the moment we stepped foot on the grounds. Chantelle the owner / planner greeted us at the door and gave us a tour around the site. The stunning views and Italian gardens took our breath away and from that point on our search was for a venue was over and everything began to fall into place.
Once booked, Chantelle immediately began suggesting vendors and made the whole process of organising a wedding abroad so much easier.
On the day of the wedding Chantelle was so calm and attentive which made us feel so relaxed. She was on site all day for anything we wanted or needed, nothing was too big or small for and her team.
The day after we had a BBQ, we spent the day eating, drinking and chilling out by the pool in the sunshine with our lively family and friends. It was the perfect end to our wedding.
We can’t wait to revisit Quinta Bonita in the future, it holds a special place in our hearts.

My husband and I could not have asked for a better experience at Quinta Bonita during our delayed honeymoon. Chantelle went above and beyond for us, from greeting us with champagne and roses during our check-in to the customized breakfast out on the patio every morning. The dinner spots and beaches that Chantelle recommended us were top notch; she knows that area in and out. Pictures do not do it justice for how stunning and well-kept the gardens and rooms are. We highly recommend this place - you will not be disappointed!

I hosted a retreat for a total of 11 guests at Quinta Bonita, and we were all impressed with the house, food and hospitality. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, the food was excellent and they were able to provide options for those of us with dietary restrictions. The yoga space was great overlooking the gardens. The best thing of all was the hospitality provided by Chantelle. She was available to answer all of our questions, get our excursions, taxis and COVID tests booked, and provide advice on things to do in the area. We had a wonderful stay!

I would highly recommend Quinta Bonita. It is a charming place to stay and I had a most relaxing week. Beautiful gardens, delicious breakfasts, peaceful, fantastic pool area and within close proximity to Lagos and various beautiful beaches. Chantelle could not have been more helpful arranging various activities, restaurant bookings, taxis etc. All her restaurant recommendations were outstanding. I also enjoyed a great bike ride with Fraser. I hope to be back before too long!

Thankyou for your interest in Quinta Bonita. We would love to look after you! We are 4km (5 minute drive) from the beautiful beach of Praia da Luz and also 4km from the many stunning beaches of Lagos and its lovely cobbled old town. You do not need a car if you are happy to stay local as we have bikes to hire, taxis are easy and inexpensive and there are also local buses. If you want to explore further afield, such as the West Coast, then we recommend hiring a car. We hope to welcome you one day!
