Second stay for us. Great appartments. Spacious, clean, easy accesible. All you need is there. Living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, plenty of space. We love it. Worth the money. When you like to play golf or like to have a place to travel from....Go Boavista
We recently stayed in an apartment at Boavista for one week having stayed in numerous properties across the Lagos and Porto de Mos areas over many years. I shan't comment much on the apartment as it was a private rental booked with the owner via VRBO other than to say it was lovely and overlooked the 16th hole in Lakeview Village (presumably one of the original early/mid-2000's-build apartments). We checked in on a Sunday which meant having to go to a room with safes in to access the keys and return the next day to complete the check-in process when it was staffed - worth bearing in mind if you're checking in over a weekend and have a busy itinerary planned. The resort itself is quite hilly in parts, but it's very well kept by the grounds staff and is pedestrian-friendly, though maybe not ideal if you can't walk far when you take hills and distances to/from facilities into account. The pool area in the Lakeview Village was large and clean, albeit not heated which would have been useful given October is the time of year where warm days are becoming marginal and rare if cloudy/windy. There's also building work going on at the top of the hill and towards the southern part of the resort. We didn't eat in the Clubhouse, but my parents ate lunch in the Bela Colina restaurant and weren't that impressed with it. We didn't use the indoor pool, spa and gym. We didn't play golf there, but one observation from our apartment near the 16th hole is that the fairways looked patchy in places and both the bunkers and the 16th green were prone to flooding if it rained. Can't comment on the states of the other holes, but given the competition you may expect it to be a bit better. The resort itself is located midway between Lagos and Praia da Luz, with the beach at Porto de Mos closer still 5-10 minutes drive away. Taxi's to the centre of Lagos are approximately €7-€12 one way depending on the time of day, whereabouts you're located in Boavista, passenger numbers and vehicle (minivan's charge more than cars). You will need a car/taxi to the nearest supermarket (Intermarche in Lagos is the closest) and I wasn't aware of a convenience store on-site. All in all, it's an isolated resort, so you definitely need to take its location into account as it could either be your thing or not. Boavista is a nice resort that met expectations. We would consider staying here again in the future.…
This is our fourth visit to this property staying in a 2 bedroom town house on Bela Colina . As usual everything was excellent, clean, spacious, well equipped town house exactly where we had requested prior to arrival. Bedroom, bathroom ,kitchen dining area and patio with table and 4 chairs on ground floor. Large 2nd bedroom, 2nd bathroom, lounge and balcony with 2 sunbeds on 2nd floor. These properties are situated in a resort that is a mix of residential and rental with a golf course and spa on site. The whole area is extremely well looked after with security. There is a club house restaurant and since visit last year they have opened a bistro serving breakfast and evening meals in the Bela Colina area which looked very nice although we did not use it preferring to have breakfast on our own patio and eating out at the many excellent restaurants in Lagos on a night which are a small drive away therefore a car is recommended. There are 2 pools in the Bela Colina area, pool towels are provided in the property and never a problem getting sunbeds. There is a large Inter Marche supermarket a 5 min drive away and kitchen well equipped if you did want to do any cooking. Don't let the fact that it is called Boavista Golf Resort and Spa put you off staying here if you are not a golfer, these properties are suitable of anyone who likes a spacious comfortable base be they couples like ourselves, families or golfers. As stated we have been to this property for the last 4 years in which time we have scene it grow but standards have been well maintained and it only gets better, and we would have no hesitation in booking again. Although this property is classified 4 star it was far superior to the 5 star apartment we moved to for the remainder of our holiday in Vilamoura…
Had a wonderful day at Boa Vista Golf today. The course is wonderful. The ground staff/rangers were so polite. Had dinner afterwards and the restaurant staff were also so nice so polite. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend. Joao the manager is so professional.
We stopped for a bite to eat after a round of golf. Unfortunately, the excellent breakfast they serve stops at 12.00 but the Farmers burger was good. Tasty goats cheese with a pumpkin jam to compliment it.
