Almost invisible from the street, Antillia Hotel is fresh, spacious and of modern design, a 5-10 min. walk to the old downtown, and is located in residential area a couple blocks from the waterfront. Staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet great. Some rooms are actually small apartments, fully furnished w/ cooking utensils, should your want to 'settle in' for a bit.
A perfect labyrinth the first time arriving to find your room...but the place grows on you when you get to know the friendly and helpful staff. Quite and not too far to walk to the centre. Good breakfast and because we had to catch an early flight a snack was delivered to our room the night before!
Hotel good location, entrance requires care as very tight turn from narrow road. After a few times you get used to it, Exit to another tight side street also difficult not helped by moron who left his motorcycle oposite exit! once parked and in the Hotel is a delight, helpful reception staff and all very clean. Our good size apartment on the fourth floor had a great view of the port and the town of Ponta Delgarda. Nice kitchen diner with table and chairs plus sofa bed. Hall has wardrobe space, bedroom with twin beds and a second TV. Plus that wide balcony with access from lounge area and bedroom. A table and chairs outside to enjoy your morning coffee. No noise close to lift and room well serviced. What not to like? Just the breakfast, room is ok except that someone has chosen to locate the very slow single coffee machine right next to the equally very slow single toaster. Hence this area gets very congested. The breakfast itself is very dull and most uninspiring, same fatty bacon, same watery scrambled egg, watered down juices under a canopy that requires considerable skill to extract without spillage. The staff here are the weak link in the hotel, no people skills and a poor manner. This is a great hotel apart from this aspect. We had a superb week in this wonderfull island and really enjoyed ourselves. So Antillia give that breakfast room a kick up the backside.…
They call it an 'apartment' hotel for reasons that are unclear. Room was nice and clean, spacious, enjoyed the view over the harbor. VERY QUIET - Only unanticipated 'feature' was the discovery on the last day that there was indeed a television in the room - it was BEHIND A TWO-WAY MIRROR. Found that to be a bit weird. There was no reason to mount it behind a two-way mirror.
Hotel very well located. Rooms are pretty nice. Even with kitchen inside small dinning room. Really quiet as well. Staff is really helpfull explaining eveything. Very nice pool jacuzzy massage spa etc.
