Hands down one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in! The place is nice and clean and theirs lots of nice little details, like a basket by each bed for glasses and phone etc. Individual lamps, lots of plugs for charging and lockable storage in the dorms. Bathrooms were clean and had shampoo and body wash.

The common areas are really cool and welcoming, the breakfast is great and the hosts, Mafalda and Filipe are super caring and happy to share all that Sao Miguel has to offer with you and help you plan your best holiday! I will be back!

This is probably the best Hostel that I have ever stayed at. The rooms, common areas, location and local breakfast are great, but what really makes the difference is the people. Mafalda and Filipe are extremely helpful and give the absolute best tips. We came here with a pretty defined itinerary, but they took it to the next level by recommending great restaurants, trails and (seriously) hidden gems. Our trip wouldn't have been the same without them!

Thank you both for being so nice and making our trip even better!

This was our first visit to the Azores and our first hostel. What a great way to get to know the city and the people! Steps away from downtown, and the hostel itself is so clean and well-kept. Everything just feels brand new, and the outdoor areas are beautiful.

Our favorite part of the stay was the people running the hostel. They were so friendly and welcoming. At every turn they were there to help, answer questions, make reservations, and have fun chats with. They also make great drinks!

Recommend getting lots of water and leaving the fan on, as it can get quite hot and humid in the summer.

On our first day, a little kitty was out in the street. The hostel managers rescued him and found him a home. Long live Garfield! :)

Thank you for a great stay!!

My sister and I had an amazing experience at Procyon. It was our first time in the Azores and we were charmed by the hospitality we received at Procyon. The team there helped us with transportation around the island and where to find the best local dishes. We loved the happy hour drinks at the bar and enjoyed sitting in the patio area after long day tours. We stayed in a private room with bunk beds which was perfect. The place was so clean and had everything we needed. We will recommend to family, friends and stay here again in the future!

Fantastically warm welcome! Great to learn that it had been the family home for years, but now rejuvenated as a boutique B&B.
Whilst we were only there one night, the ambience and social aspect of the hotel seemed very friendly with guests socialising at the bar together. Can imagine the summer in the central courtyard, or partly refurnished cellar being a great social space.
Great location for central Ponta Delgada night life, but our room, with the high window open suffered from traffic noise all night.
Had an early departure, but taxi arranged and breakfast package ready for us .. all with an eye to customer satisfaction!
Wished we'd been able to stay for a few nights .. but alas London was calling!

I must say I'm impressed.
When I arrived, they welcomed me in smiling and saying my name. This shows that they really care about their clients.

The check-in was great. They took a lot of time to explain us everything we needed to know about the island.

Everything looks so fresh and clean. They cleaned the room everyday, even changed our towels and sheets during our 6 days stay. This is a premium service that you don't get in a lot of hostels.

The breakfast is included in the price and I must say it's better than come of the hotels I've been. They surprise you once in a while with some pancakes and scrambled eggs FOR FREE! I'm gluten free and they provided a different kind of bread for me and always warned me for what I could and couldn't get.

They also have a bar, great drinks and very affordable. If you want to get a beer but are too tired to get out, you can go there and chill. They also serve great toasts and vegetarian bowls.

It's years since I have stayed in a hostel and a lot has changed as far as Procyon is concerned as I have visited many so called 'boutique hotels'! that could not begin to compare. It is spotlessly clean, the owners and staff are friendly and exceptionally helpful and the facilities are all you could ask for. We stayed for a week in a private room and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Yes it's a little noisy being near the airport but so is a large part of Ponta Delgada. It is also a 10 minute walk into town (we are 60+)but as others have said this does mean easy parking and a chance to avoid the narrow one way streets in the centre of town which can be quite challenging. A great place on a fasinating Island. Thanks again. Brian

This may seem highly priced for a hostel, but that's because it barely is one. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights during our 2 weeks on the island and it was a highlight of our trip. The two owners are young, fresh, friendly, and incredibly helpful. It's clear that they are passionate about their business. Everything they do is creative and clean. Oh, and the breakfast was AMAZING! We had our own private room and even made use of the kitchen for one night. If you are a young traveler by yourself, with your sig. other, or with a group of friends, do yourself a favor and stay here.

Our stay was way above expectations. This is much more then a hostel, it's a community with passionated people. Facilities are sparkling clean, well designed, you will feel the local touch everywhere. Their breakfast prepares you for the good day and makes you smile and positive. Moreover we took a guided tour with them to see central part of Sao Miguel, Lagoa da Fogo and relaxing hot springs in the evening. It will be the best stay for you in Sao Miguel!
