Good stay on Soa Miguel
This is a clean place and has friendly hosts! By check-in we had all the I formation what to do on the island. We were lucky to have the ocean view room which was very nice. To get to the city centre is a 15min walk but they have 2 bikes which you can rent for free. Definitely worth the money to stay here.

Great spot outside city center- easy parking
This is the perfect place to stay! It’s just a little outside the city center (which is a 25 minute walk). A car is a must in Sao Miguel, and it is stressful and near impossible to park in the city center. There were 2 lots close to this hotel that were so easy to park in. Also, Nicolau is incredibly friendly and accommodating. His cleaning lady, Annabelle, is a gem and makes you feel at home. Great spot!!!

Wonderful place
Had the best stay! Everything that I read was true. Nicolau, the owner and Anabella the housekeeper treat you like family. I felt 100% secure, respected and really loved the fact that I was able to interact with the other guests. Casa da Ilha made sure I had a great birthday. Anabella’s husband cooked a delicious dinner in their home. It was so touching....I felt very special. Also, I met a couple that was also staying in the hotel and that was the beginning of a new and wonderful friendship. They too attended the dinner. All in all, it was a blessed vacation.

Awesome!
First of all the apartment is located very good, just few meters to the ocean and also only 10 minutes walk away from the city centre. So you could see a wonderful sunrise every morning by just walking out of the house. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. I had a room with terrace and a shared garden which was amazing. The personal there is very friendly and courteous. Also the owner was really friendly and always available to help. I definitely recommend this apartment!

I booked a suite here and was wondering if the suites have a fridge, coffee maker, and microwave or is that only in the shared kitchen. The website is a little vague on this.
The rooms don’t have all that. Everything is at the shared kitchen.

Can someone explain the layout for me? We have a group of 11 & I want to make sure it's as described with private baths in some rooms & shared baths in others. Any info is appreciated.
In total have 6 rooms. 3 suites with private bathroom, 1 twin with private bathroom and two other rooms (1 twin and 1 double) with shared bathroom.

Qual a melhor maneira de ir do aeroporto para a Casa da Ilha ?
Boa noite, o melhor é mesmo apanhar um Taxi, são cerca de 10 Euros. Faz muito bem em escolher a Casa da Ilha, o Srº Nicolau é impecável, a casa é super, a limpeza é 5*, vai gostar com toda a certeza. Espero ter ajudado. Boa viagem
