Great price and a good location for a surf beach

The hotel itself is clean, the rooms are large and well equipped, and the staff are friendly. It's right on the beach and the surf is usually pretty good should you want to surf or bodyboard. The kitchens in the rooms are small but fine for a couple having a night in. The beds aren't very comfy either but are fine for a week's holiday. The main reason this isn't a 5* review is that the breakfast was okay but often late, and the location isn't the best should you want to eat out. We were told breakfast is 7.30 till 10, but on most occasions you couldn't get hot food (only ever sausage and scrambled eggs) till nearer 8, and the juice and coffee machines were often broken. There was the usual bread/ham/cheese/yoghurt/cereal that you'd expect, and they cycled through cold waffles, pancakes, and muffins every 3 days. There are a couple of places to eat nearby but are poorly reviewed. Ponta Delgada is only a €6-€8 taxi ride away, but doing this every night would be expensive. For a couple that wanted to cook for ourselves and be adventurous most days, this was great, we just wish breakfast was a bit more adventurous and on time (so we can spend more time exploring). I guess you can't complain too much for pretty cheap stay! The sea is loud if you've got a sea view, but we enjoyed listening to the waves.…

Excellent apartment hotel

We spent 2 weeks in this lovely hotel. Excellent breakfast and right on the beach. The rooms have a small kitchenette with full size fridge and basic kitchen equipment. Lovely balcony with loungers and table. Our only criticism was that the pillows were small and a bit lumpy but we still slept well on a comfortable bed. Just be aware that the steps to the beach can be slippery if wet, take care. We loved our time and hope to return in the future.

Painfully disappointment

VERY loud renovation works in their restaurant at night (I am talking about late night, like midnight) we complained as they were using angle grinder in front of our windows, but we had to repeat the complain as they did not stop. However, next night, the same story, ergo we paid for apartment with terrace overlooking the ocean, which we cannot use, event more , we are unable to open window due to the noise level!

Must be one of the best spot in town

Three of us stayed here for a week. The room was spacious, enough space for all of us. There is a sofa and a little kitchen area in the room and I think the best part is the balcony with the ocean view and the sound of the waves. The location is great there is a shop and a cafe opposite the hotel. Town centre about 15 mins by car. Very professional, helpful and friendly staff at the reception, restaurant and in housekeeping. Definitely a lovely place to stay and great atmosphere. Breakfast is good I enjoyed what I had, but every day they serve almost the same. Would love to stay here again

Great Place to stay

The 3 of us stayed for a week.Loads of character. Loved the location. Amazing views from balcony. Nice kitchen area and lots of space.Super quiet.Great breakfast everyday with awesome coffee machine and fresh bread and cheese etc. While some of the furnishing were a bit on the older side, this place was kept super clean by the very helpful and friendly staff.
