The staff is very friendly and prompt to help, the location is excellent with easy parking just in front and the room service cleans the room every day. Excellent price/quality ratio My wife didn't like the mattress and sometimes the coffee at the breakfast ran out
Good place for few nights in Ponta Delgada. Nice and helpful reception staff. Easy check-in. Good breakfasts. Location not perfect but within walking distance to the center of the city (15 minutes). Room was generally OK, good shower. Air conditioning. Small fridge inside the room. Communal kitchen is available for use of guests. The drawbacks: - the landing airplanes are noisy as the airport is close. - our room (Pusan) was bit quirky as there are steps inside (making it less comfortable and less useful). - the doors of the wardrobe need fixing. - bathroom is rather small. - parking on the street can be challenging.
Vintage Place is an awesome spot to base yourself in Ponta Delgada. An easy ten minute walk away from the center of the city, the guest house has a variety of rooms and even the basic Blue and Green Vintage rooms have got everything for a holiday period. The rooms are beautifully cleaned every day and the towels are also changed on a daily basis. The breakfast doesn’t have a huge variety but it’s got all the basics for a great start to the day, including the famous local muffin bread, the bolo levedo and some mornings you may wake up to freshly baked pastel de nata. The real delight of the place is its young, cheerful and super helpful staff who will assist you in any programs you may need organizing and are also great at recommending places to go to. Wouldn’t hesitate for a second to return here.…
The expectations we had based on the Vintage Place website and its photographs were disappointed by the real life experience. This is a modest place in a humble setting. Our room was not nearly as pretty as the photos. The breakfast was basic. Its most saving grace was the enthusiasm of its friendly young staff.
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful 2 weeks at Vintage. We were met with a smile and the staff from the cleaning people to the owner are just super nice and helpful. Staying somewhere for 2 weeks you really get an idea of how it works and I would recommend this place to friends. Its got a quirky kind of decor that really works and for sure the touch of the owner , a really nice lady , all over the place. Its kept super clean and the shared kitchen has all you need. Internet is vital to us when we travel as we both works parts of our holidays and the connection was excellent. We liked the breakfast too but again the breakfast room has a lovely feel to it . Just a great place to stay
