We parked easily and the hotel is ideally situated in the centre of the old town of Viseu. Our room was spacious, clean and the air conditioning worked well. The hotel has character, history and charm. A great base to explore Viseu. Good adhearance to Covid requirements.

First, I must compliment Antonio for his kindness in helping us find a wonderful restaurant and providing a map of Viseu. The location of the hotel was excellent. Our bedroom and bathroom were large, and the bed firm, but very comfortable. The room was very quiet. We appreciated a makeup mirror in the bathroom. The decor was not our style but OK. The breakfast was good. Our only complaint was that the mattress did not fit the bed frame and we were careful not to bump our shins on it.

This is the most central beautiful place to be. Peace and calm of yesteryear transcends into the now. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Our bathroom was big with a spa bath and the shower gels soaps were good quality. Breakfast was typical with cereal, an array of breads rolls, fruit, eggs and cheese. With countless little shops, restaurants and gems within walking distance, make sure to explore. Eat the cod fritters everywhere, they're special!

The hotel is situated right in the center of the old town, which gives it a good plus. The minus goes right behind, because the streets are extremely narrow and the hotel has a small, narrow parking lot for about 8 cars (you do have to have really good parking skills, or you cannot get in nor out), The entree hall is charming. As you will see, people at the hotel and people in general in those regions are very lovely. The hotel room was large, you have the choice of one different pillow, Internet works great, and fast. But the hotel is in dire need of restauration. The carpets are old and used and sort of gave me the kreeps, the upholstered chair had stains as well. Bathroom installations are all working, but are old. Doors and walls of the respective rooms are thin and walking through the corredor, you hear everything from the respective rooms. That sort of takes privacy away and is not very agreeable. And the door from our room would not lock from the inside. As a matter of fact, it sometimes opened on its own and we had to go close it again. Breakfeast was ok.

This hotel reminded me of how it is to sleep in a hostel. Although it is classified as 4 stars it should have 2 stars maybe 3. For more than 100 Euro for a double you don't even get a decent duvet to cover yourself during night. All you get are some hostel like blankets full of other people's hair. Not to mention the terrible mattress. They are advertised as a historic building, but the rooms wing is built on top of the old building, which makes the small rooms pretty unattractive. On the bright side the bathroom was nice and the breakfast was plentiful and great.
