Exceeded Our Expectations

Out of this world hospitality at the hotel! Attentive staff, which started on arrival. Probably the only hotel we have stayed in that accommodated all requests given at time of booking. Amazing dining experience. One of the best housekeeping teams, we’ve ever encountered. Fabulous and 5 star stay all round.

Great hotel beautiful setting great service

Great hotel in a beautiful setting with great service, great food, very modern clean rooms great terraces with views of the port. Only problem would be that it’s quite a long walk to some of the rooms

Really nice

They are everything you expect and even more. Rooms are very clean and cozy, bathrooms are very roomy and also clean and I loved the scent of their shower gels! The staff was friendly and accomodating and the breakfast selection was astounding.

Double booking

When I checked in to my hotel room on arrival after midnight there was already someone in my room. So probably related to the booking system. The location of the hotel is great and so is the friendly staff and the cleanliness.

Terrible experience.

A terrible experience. As the owner of a 5 star hotel I feel qualified to write the review. The reception was 3 star and poor. Not enough staff for 5 star. The room is basic, minimum standard. A pokey hole with a 800mm high window at floor level and another at 3m from the floor. Stupid. Standing in the room your view was wall all round. Worst and smallest bathroom I have been in for 30 years. Belongs in a backpackers. Breakfast is 3 star budget buffet. Poor selection. Only shining light was the foh manager at the restaurant who is highly skilled. Parking is a joke. Far away and walk is uncovered. No valet service as “hotel cannot afford insurance”. We left hotel at 08h45 after hanging the : please clean room, sign on the door handle. We returned at 14h00 to find the room not made up. The room did not get made up on the day. Overall a horrible experience. Pricing scam. We made the reservation using booking.com. It was made at 21h30 the day prior to arrival. At first the rate was shown at €126 per night. However when I confirmed the booking WITHOUT REFRESHING, it escalated to €140. Overall opinion. Oversold under delivered. …

Our hotel does not offer car parking and vallet parking service because the car parking we work with it is not from the hotel. It is a partnership that we have with the marina parking with a special price for our Guests.The cleaning during the day runs from 9 am until 5 pm, we apologize if between this specific period your room was not made. We will check what might happened. The online prices constantly change at the Booking.Com website and others, When it happens during the reservation process they always let you know and they ask if you want to proceed or not with the reservation. If it didn't happen while you were booking our hotel you should check with Booking.Com what caused it. We would like to know how to visit Sintra for the day from staying at Pestana Cidadela. We will be visiting Sintra on a Sunday. Is it best to take the bus or taxi to Sintra? Where do you buy the bus tickets/pass and board the bus in Cascais? Thank you for your help.

There are two bus routes to Sinatra, get bus from bus station and pay on board.

Will we have parking available for our 2 night stay? Is it included or is there a fee to park?

Dear tripbug5 Regarding your question: Inside the hotel premises is not allowed to park the car because is an historical place. We recommend to our guest a car parking 7 minutes walking distance from the hotel with a special price of 4,50 Euros p/ day. Is it better to take the train from Lisbon Airport to Pestana Cidadela Cascais or drive?
