I have spent two nights at Alquimia. It was absolutely perfect, room was big and nicely arranged. There was little balcony available. Service was lovely and breakfast the best I had in any of the hotels (home made jam with pear and wine- delicious!). I would definitely come back.

Wonderful hideout located 10 minutes walk from the waterfront. Nice people, quiet rooms opening on a small inner garden and absolutely great breakfast ! Do not hesitate, enjoy and relax. We will not forget this place and return whenever we are in Cascais.

We stayed at this guesthouse for 7 nights and it is a great place to discover the Lisbon region. The rooms are very nice, spotless clean and have a modern fresh look. The wifi is also excellent. It's about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Cascais so the location is perfect if you don't mind walking a bit....

The breakfast was lovely, with home made jam, cheese, ham, bread, cereal and yoghurt. The house always has a lovely fruit bowl which guests can take from, and lovely coffee and...

Once you have stayed here you will want to return, even though it is quite a distance from the main part of town. The genuine warmth and kindness of Elsa, Helena and Mario are unbeatable. They went out of their way to make our short stay special. The restaurants we tried in Cascais could take a lesson in service from...

Lovely, spotlessly clean villa with very welcoming hosts and pleasant staff. We stayed ten days in a double room with balcony (Oxygen). Breakfasts are delightful with home made jams and cakes, fresh orange juice and as much coffee as you can drink. Mario and Susana, the owners have thoughtfully provided a fridge filled with wines, beer and water available for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located just 10 min walking from the town center, ocean and train station, a charming Guest House is opened in the coastal town of Cascais, Portugal. A traditional Portuguese villa from the 60's has been reconstructed and transformed into a cozy and contemporary home, with 5 suites and a pleasant outdoor leisure space. The desire to travel, to know new places, people and cultures, has always been one of our passions. This has led us to create a cozy and comfortable place that will make you feel at home while you discover and experience the best our region has to offer. From the furniture, which combines traditional and contemporary elements, to the small handcrafted decoration details, with items that have been repurposed, the idea of transformation is present. This philosophy gave rise to "Alchemy". ... more   less
