This hotel is Lovely, the staff make it 5 star!! The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was filling with croissants, pasteis, fresh fruit and vegetables. It was a great start each day! They also provide free water and coffee 24 hours a day. Margarida and Moreira were so helpful setting up tours and giving us tips. Tanya and Maya kept the breakfast buffet area so clean and stocked. Marcia was a delight each evening helping us with our room temperature and drinks. She even found me a snack one night after all the restaurants were closed. We arrived early the first day and our room wasn't ready. They graciously stored our luggage and when we came back, the luggage was already in our room!! Also on the last day, Moreira advised the breakfast crew to open early so we could have breakfast before our flight!! Again, customer service is what makes this hotel!! It is located in the Alfama district....close to several restaurants, shopping, metro, etc. We walked Everywhere and used Bolt, Uber, and Tuk tuk when it was too far away. Lisbon is beautiful, and Hotel Riverside made our first time so Amazing!! Obrigada Moreira, Margarida, Marcia, Tania and Maya!! Til we meet again!!

I had a great stay here. The location was fantastic - in the fado district and a stone's throw from bus stops that take you to the Tile Museum and Belem, as well as the Terreiro do Paco station (blue line of the metro). Only a 15 min (flat!) walk from Cais do Sodre. I asked for a quiet room and I was given a top floor corner room, which was perfect.
Everyone was very kind and helpful, from the gentleman and young ladies at reception, to the sweet staff at breakfast. The room itself was lovely, spacious, and comfortable, and they left two bottles of water for me as well :) . Breakfast was very good - pastries were fresh (warm mini nata every day!) and there were savoury options as well (cheeses and deli meats). It would have been nice to have had a kettle in the room and maybe eggs at breakfast, but I'm just nitpicking :)

This hotel was much more than we ever expected, as soon as we walked in the door we were so warmly greeted that we knew we had made the right decision to stay there. Our room overlooked the river and we had a small Juliet balcony it was so lovely, a huge comfortable bed and although the bathroom was small the shower was powerful and large. We were shocked at how incredibly quiet the room was in this busy, noisy city. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us, on our last night we had terrible trouble checking in and printing our boarding passes but the lady on reception spent such a lot of her time helping until she sorted the issue for us. There are lots of excellent restaurants nearby and the Metro is close by, brilliant situation. It was my birthday and I couldn't wish to have been anywhere else, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We loved our stay at this quiet, spotless, charming and kindly staffed Hotel in an excellent location to enjoy the city from! We will be back! Our rooms (we had two beautiful side by side rooms with river views for our family if 5 with 3 teens) were a pleasant surprise- larger than I had thought. So nice and quiet at night, but close to the nightlife if desired. We walked all over the city from the hotel and enjoyed great restaurants close by as well as ones in the other parts of the city close by, or by one of the many ways to get around. The best part besides the rooms, was the staff! We arrived early morning after very long flights from western United States and were greeted by the kind and friendly Joel who covers the eve/am hours. He answered all our questions and spoke great English. The espresso in the lobby was a morning tradition where we spoke to the kind owner of the hotel, Amancio Moreira. There is a nice Portuguese pottery shop attached to front lobby where you can make your own tiles - super fun! The evening attendant, Marina Rossi who also spoke perfect English was so great! She helped us coordinate transportation and explained train, etc in detail and advised on many of our questions. The breakfasts were good- very traditional though the espresso machine in the lobby was preferable to the drip coffee at breakfast (but I’m a picky coffee drinker). Yummy traditional baked goods, rolls, croissants, yogurt, granola, fruit selections, meats/cheeses. Very nice. We hated to leave and highly recommend everything about this gem!

We stopped here on the outside terrace of the hotel whilst working our way up to the Alfama district. Here we enjoyed a couple of beers on a very pleasant late September day. It was a great stop for relaxing and just generally people watching. The staff were very pro-active in keeping everything clean, vigorously wiping chairs and tables with disinfectant after each table was vacated. Loos also spotless. Very reassuring in these times.

Small hotel located in a very favorable position. At the foot of the Alfama district, 5 minutes away from the Praça di Commerce, Rua Augusta, the Cathedral and obviously the sea (although not suitable for swimming). Very kind, helpful and always smiling staff. The breakfast is decent with some local specialties such as Pasteis de Nata. The room was actually a bit small, so much so that the wardrobe only had one door. I didn't give maximum stars for the cleanliness of the room; what fell to the floor on the first day remained there until the fifth. A few ants as guests. Apart from this last negative aspect, I would recommend it.

Paid 79 euros per night on season for a pair of twin beds, balcony view of Tagus. Sparklingly clean, modern room with firm mattresses and great hot water in the shower, excellent wifi. 100 meters from metro that goes directly to airport. 200 meter uphill walk through the Alfama to Se Cathedral and Resistance Museum, 200 meters to Praca Comercio amd the trams that go to Belem. 300 meters to Fado museum. Several excellent restaurants, both pricey and cheap nearby. The ideal location. Breakfast included pastries, ham and cheese, orange slices, grapes, orange juice, coffee, and tea. Staff was absolutely charming, helpful in recommending restaurants. Highly recommended.

I loved my stay at this hotel. I had a river view room, and I loved just sitting at the window and watching the water and people. The location is perfect - right on the river and very convenient to sights and transportation. Breakfast was very good. What really made my stay, though, was the staff - everyone was friendly and helpful, and Marina in particular was very welcoming and had excellent suggestions and advice for seeing the city.

We where 3 of us little boy who has 1yr old. The room was last located at the back side of the hotel which you don't have a view but we don't bother for that, as we were out all day.
The staff are great nothing to say they are very helpful nice and friendly.
The breakfast was good too. We had full English breakfast. Eggs sausages mini. Bacon. Bread yougurt fruits sweets and of course we had the pastel de nata typical lisboa sweet. Yes i love too eat.
The hotel is near metro torreiro de paco and if you can download the app bolt is cheap to arrive at the hotel for only 6euros. Metro is convenient from the airport too. Direct.
The only thing is i had a problem with it is the noise coming from the floor above.. you will listen people steps like squeaky floor problem. And i woke up like in the middle of the night waiting for them to sleep. But anyways not on all the floors. We were in room 306.
