Stayed 5 days and was very happy with the hotel in spite of being stuck with 4 friends in the small lift while the staff struggled boldly to free us. The hotel is a no frills place but it delivers with comfortable beds and reaĺly clean everywhere. Breakfast is a good selection of items hot and continental. There is only a small and unused bar but go next door to sister hotel where there is more life and comfort. On a main roundabout with plenty of life and bright lights.
Hotel is in an excellent position. Very clean, simple and small room. Essential equipment - but functional. Tasty breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. All in all, a nice place to stay in Lisbon!
This is my second stay at the Fénix Garden and again I'm not disappointed. Clean, pretty and with such great staff. I'd like to acknowledge Diogo, Carlotta and Hugo who have all made me feel like I'm home and among friends. Premium location and good value for money. Good house keeping, lovely breakfast, thank you Raquel.
Perfect hotel. The food great and can use the pool on the roof-top of the Helix next-door. The location was ideeal - just a short stroll in to town. Only downfall was noise from traffic so bring ear-plugs.
My wife and I stayed 4 nights in this hotel prior to undertaking the Portuguese Camino. Our room was 101 and was good sized with a comfortable bed. Toiletries were a little basic and poor quality. There was evidence of wear and tear in the facilities although all was very clean. A bottle of water was provided for us on the first day. Nothing thereafter! Breakfast was good in a basement room. We used the hotel pick up from the airport and to our train station and it worked very well. There was limited public area and no bar or restaurant for lunch or dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful. We did suffer from noise because of the close proximity of our room to a very busy major road junction beneath our 1st floor window. Also please be aware of pickpockets. We were advised to take the bus 727 to the monastery as it was just round the corner from the hotel and cheaper than a taxi. However, pickpockets are active and tried to rob my wallet and phone on the bus. These middle aged guys barged between my wife and I and the next thing I knew they had a hand in my valuables. I was lucky enough to just feel the robbery being attempted and shouted and they backed off and left the bus at the next stop. Please be warned. It was a distressing experience but could have been so much worse. When I informed the hotel staff they said it happened all the time on the buses and trams!…
