We took the metro from the airport and were delighted when we walked out of the station and could see the hotel sign as soon as we walked out. The hotel itself is an old building that has been remodeled. We found it very comfortable and large enough. Breakfast was not included in the price and for 7.50 Euros there...

Located right next to the metro station and ascensor da gloria is a perfect location to get anywhere in the city. there is a room for your luggage if you arrived before check-in. The room are spacious and the shower as alot of hot water and water pressure. The matresse are not perfect but okay for a couple of nights....

This is a nice hotel, clean, comfy and cheap for its location. The staff are friendly too. It's located just behind Liberdade. so it's not so busy, however, in the two times I've been here the bins are emptied of bottles around 2am. Once was unfortunate. Twice looks like it's a regular. If I go again I'd have to have...

This hotel is partly up the hill that the Elevador da Gloria funicular travels; however there is little or no noise from the funicular. The former name of the facility is still on the corner of the hotel with the Turim Restauradores name at the bottom (see photo). The hotel is located at the top end of the Placa dos...

This hotel was centrally located with access to city bus, aerobus and metro station within 100metres reach. The room was smaller in size and we felt that hotel staff were not that helpful and a bit arrogant. Overall value for money.

The Hotel is in a good location with travel links nearby. Lots of bars & restaurants within walking distance. The room was quiet (4th floor) clean & of a decent size. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but functional & clean. The staff were helpful & friendly. My only complaint, the breakfast room was overcrowded with...

It's not a bad hotel but let down by the service. We arrived early and were told our room wasn't ready yet and we could leave our luggage and come back later, which was absolutely fine. When we returned we told the receptionist our details and were then left waiting for over 10 minutes at the desk whilst they talked...

The Turim hotel in Lisbon was dissapointing. Rooms small clean and comfortable enough, but the small cubicle intended for shower and toilet could hardly fit an average person. If you want to shower keep hold of the soap in your hand nowhere to put it.....The "free Wi Fi" almost never worked in the rooms and usually in the lobby neither.....

I think the pictures are on the optimistic side as our room (503) was tiny. It was a "superior" room but not room to swing a cat. It was very clean and smart though with an excellent view over the city, and everything in the room worked. Breakfast was very good and the staff were all very pleasant and spoke...

Location cannot get any better - in the very heart of Lisbon, right beside the funicular to Bairro Alto, walking distance to Rossio, Bairro Alto, Chiado, Restauradores, Saint George Castle. Close to public transport. The room itself is very basic, no luxury at all but all you really need from a hotel: a nice bed, clean, airy and a good...

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
