Booked a room in the superior category, but got a smaller room than a regular standard room facing the building across the one way street. Even though the room was small, it had all the necessities and was of top standard. Since the windows are...More
We had stayed in a previous version of this hotel in the 90's when it was the Pension Suisse. Then a run down seedy little place. Looking at the Turim website we thought it looked great. So we enter the hotel and were greeted by...More

Hotel is well situated in centre of Lisbon. Funny tram just round the corner. Easy to go around centre of Lisbon by foot. Rooms ok, beds not so comfortable. Basic comfort. Found it a bit too expensive for what it is.
We have been staying at this hotel several times from 2012 onwards and it was and is our first choice for all our visits in Lisbon. The pros: in the very centre of the city, next to a transport hub (Restauradores square), easy accessible from...More

The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used
to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.

Pendolino trains (Alpha) & Intercidades trains run from Santa Apolonia railway station to Porto (Campanha station). Alpha take 2hr 45min - 3hrs, Intercity take 3hrs 10-30min. The latter are far more comfortable, though! We take the Metro Azul (blue) Line from Restauradores (on the main road, 1 min walk from the hotel), which goes direct to Santa Apolonia railway station, a journey time of only 5 minutes!
