The Vintage Lisbon hotel is celebrated for its spacious, clean, and stylishly decorated rooms, although a few guests have mentioned a lack of storage and dim lighting. Service at the hotel is typically regarded as professional and attentive, contributing to the overall value, which is seen as reasonable despite occasional comments on pricing. The hotel's vintage charm and atmosphere, complete with a gin trolley and live jazz, consistently enchant guests. Its central location is quiet yet convenient for exploring nearby attractions. Amenities like the well-equipped gym, beautiful spa, and rooftop bar with panoramic views also receive high marks from travelers.

I had a wonderful one night stay at The Vintage Hotel in Lisbon. It was my first time visiting the city and traveling as a solo female I was a bit apprehensive about where to stay. The Vintage was absolutely perfect. The staff were extremely helpful before I checked in and helped me with arranging my airport transfers in advance of my trip. The room was lovely and spacious with beautifully decorated interior. The toiletries products are all local and I received a lovely complimentary bar of soap, Portuguese tarts and bottle of red wine.

The hotel is in a great location to use as a base for walking around Lisbon. The rooftop bar had a lovely atmosphere and breakfast was served in the lower ground restaurant, Blue.

I would highly recommend the hotel and would love to stay again on my next visit to Lisbon.

Overall, The Vintage Hotel provides guests with excellent value for money in a good location both for shopping and sightseeing but without being smack in the middle of the tourist area.

The staff is very friendly and forthcoming and the common areas cozy with a distinctly local touch. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, though we did not find the beds super comfortable (probably the only downside of the hotel).

Breakfast was great with a wide selection of pastries, fruits and warm favorites on offer (omelets, pancakes etc).

Warmly recommended!

Stayed for a few days in January. The hotel has been beautifully styled and the front desk are very welcoming. I was really impressed with the attention to detail. Also felt that it offered great value, I knew breakfast was included as we had booked directly but was expecting the usual continental breakfast buffet. In fact we had a full cooked breakfast menu and waiter service, as well as lovely buffet. My only word of advice would be for those that struggle to walk up quite steep hills it may not be the ideal location. However, they do have a sister hotel, The Luminaires, that is slightly more central and if is anything like the Vintage I am sure will be excellent too.

This was our first trip after restrictions were lifted and we were feeling anxious about flying and staying in the hotels again. The Vintage hotel has surpassed our expectations.
The hotel was incredibly clean, all safety regulations were carried out.
And breakfast was fantastic. After Lisbon trip we have stayed in 6 -7 hotels in Europe and I still feel that breakfast in The Vintage hotel was executed in the best possible way as of course COVID restrictions are in place.
Our deluxe room was spacious and spotless. We got a nice surprise waiting in the room upon check in as it was a birthday trip.
Only cons were Spa which is not worth considering as only pool is open at pre-booked time and it’s too small.
Overall, we highly recommend this hotel.

My partner and I visited Lisbon for the first time and we’ve been very much looking forward to our trip.

Staff:
The experience in the Vintage Hotel & SPA was exceptional!! Very friendly, always smiling, willing to help staff welcomed us every time and were very accommodating! Receptionists Maria and Elsa were amazingly helpful with our stay! Room service, bar, restaurant, and SPA staff were excellent!

Sauna/steam room/ jacuzzi facilities:
We wanted to stay in a place with indoor jacuzzi and sauna/steam room facilities (due to staying in January 2020). This place delivers way beyond amazing! Don’t be off put, when booking, that it doesn’t have a jacuzzi in the photos.. the pool has area with jets and the waterfall that you can use after sauna/steam rooms which is refreshing and does wonders! Water is very pleasant.

Room:
Decor is fresh, clean, stylish. Very comfy beds with good quality mattresses (personally I am not a fan of too soft mattresses in hotels so was very pleased as my mattress was just right!). Bathroom equipped with a lovely selection of soaps. We received a complimentary gin and tonic and smoked almonds (which were my partners favourite!!). There is also a selection of gourmet items, by local brands, which are reasonably priced.

Breakfast:
We also had breakfast with our booking, which was sensational! A great variety of choices meant that you can try something different every day (we stayed for four nights). My personal favourite were the poached eggs served on bread and the pastries! Great selection of cheeses, meats, pastries, juices. The restaurant is very stylish and staff are very friendly and smiling!

Location:
The Vintage Hotel & SPA is located on a quiet street which adds to the experience. It is also walking distance from the city centre.

Other points:
We initially booked another place, but due to the jacuzzi and saunas (facilities we were looking for) were under maintenance and we were not able to use it, we were then transferred from there to the Vintage Hotel & SPA. There was no problem. We were very happy with these facilities at the Vintage Hotel & SPA. Highly recommend!

All this positive experience, helpfulness of the staff contributed to a very relaxing time we had in Lisbon! Thank you for making our stay so amazing! We will be back!

Stayed in the deluxe room which was stunning. Walk in shower and loads of space. The complimentary gin and botanicals were such a treat, as well as the local beers in the fridge. Toiletries are made by a local producer and provided in large bottles, which saves on plastic waste - a nice ethical touch. The outdoor breakfast area looks like it’s been dropped straight from the pages of a magazine. Food was great and the staff were exceptionally attentive. Thanks to Milan who who served us and made sure my vegan guest was well catered for. Also kudos to the lovely Elsa who made sure we had a list of local vegan restaurants. The rooftop bar has views to the castle and again, very friendly service. The wall of living plants was really pretty. Due to corona, the downstairs pool had to be booked, but this meant that guests get a private pool experience, which was a little added luxury! Overall, my favourite hotel experience in Lisbon. Definitely one I’ll be returning to.

The staff were extremely nice and friendly. The view from our room was excellent and the room itself was very clean. There seemed to be emphasis on design rather than comfort though. The toilet door did not have a lock and also would not shut. It had a gap at the bottom, and was generally uncomfortable to use. Room service was also quite slow, we had asked for an iron in the morning and it never arrived we had asked for one more item that took half an hour to arrive. The location is good as it is close to the metro and using a Bolt to travel from place to place isn't too costly on average 7 euros. We didn't get a chance to use the amenities such as swimming pool and sauna but it's great that these are all there. Overall the hotel is very nice but the toilet door alone would make me not want to stay there again. We were in room 203, not sure if the situation is the same in other rooms .

Tastefully decorated rooms & common areas with a very helpful front desk team.
We visited in mid November 2020 when the 2nd wave of COVID begins to get severe - the cleanliness, health & safety protocols in the hotel was very efficient.
Location of the hotel is slightly uphill and tucked away from the main avenue which makes it quieter, something we prefer.

The location is very good, the room is kinda 5 stars but the thing that upset me was the pool/sauna practically not accessible at all hours, the terrace the same. Depending on the room you book you have different access, so, is this a 5 star hotel? where's my 5 stars treatment? Ah and be careful to consume things in the room fridge, surprises can happen. Obviously you have what you pay, so you pay less for the room and the hotel tries to get some money out of you with all the other tecniques available. I know 5 stars hotels, it's also an experience of relax so you paid at the beginning, you don't expect to be careful to other things. The vote should be 4 but for my personal experience and delusion is 3. I never saw the pool and the terrace were always close for me!

Dear Giuborama Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are sorry you were disappointed with your stay. The Rooftop is normally open throughout the day, weather permitting, and in February there were a few days of rain so unfortunately despite our best endeavours, we cannot always have it open.. The tranquility pool is available all day for clients who book treatments and to all guests during two three hour intervals during the day. We offer complimentary drinks and snacks in the room, there are also other items such as chocolate or popcorn that can be purchased and this is made clear in the minibar card on the room trolley. We will take your constructive feedback on board nonetheless and we hope to have provided explanation to the points your raised. Best Regards Nick Roucos General Manager

I’ve been coming to Lisbon for 20 years and usually stay at an Airbnb. But this time I decided to luxuriate in a nice hotel after a year of pandemic hell. I’m so glad I did. The Vintage Hôtel has a stylish retro art nouveau vibe and is located in Principe Real, the bourgeois bohemian district of Lisbon. The room was large and comfortable, the spa provided a serene get-away, the breakfast was tasty and plentiful — a bargain at 15 euros — and the rooftop terrace has tasty authentic Portuguese fare (hint: try the octopus). On a recent night it was thronging with beautiful people sucking down cocktails. The hygiene standards during a pandemic were also excellent.

By far, the best thing about the hotel is the warm attentive staff; a special shout-out to Helder and the dining team.

I won’t hesitate to come back to The Vintage. I fell hard for Lisbon years ago. Now I feel like I have a new home here.
