Situated a couple of blocks from the Metro stop, don't hesitate to book this hotel with comfy, medium firm beds and a full buffet breakfast including cereals, pastries, sausages, eggs and a variety of juices and coffees. A welcome drink pass was also available at the small bar open in the evenings.

Staff were friendly and rooms were bright. Sheets were not changed every night for our week stay, but daily towels were provided so that was a good balance of environmental awareness. Rooms could have been vacuumed better, but we did leave the window open everyday. And, a kettle was provided when I requested it.

There were so many conveniences : we found street parking right in front of the hotel when we rented a car for a day, and we frequented the large Continente grocery store just across the street for snacks. At night, we walked to various restaurants for dinner; and it was so great to explore the old parts of Lisbon and come home to a rest and a more modern neighborhood that was easy for strolling. Buses, metro, car rental shop and taxis are easily accessible here. Some basic English channels were also available for news updates. Surprisingly convenient and pleasant from this Spanish chain hotel!!

We had leisure stay in Lisabon, 7 days in total.
We found hotel like realy great place to stay in Portugal capital city.
Reasons for that are: great location, new and fresh hotel, friendly staff (for some reason only boys on front desk were very friendly with great customer care, girls weren't too interested at all)
I need to mention some issues but that will not reflected on our general review and feedback:
1.) 2 days we didn't have wifi(this is not critic to staff this is critic to management and owners. Not accaptable in 21 st century that internet is not running 2 days) When you have problems like this you need to offer something better for guest satisfaction, not only glass of wine. Suggestion is complementary breakfast for 1 morning.

2.) Bathroom doors in bedroom very, very hard to open/close. Reported but not fixed

3.) Sensor in elevator not working

You have great property, on good location, great young team of employees, good potential so it's time that you start to improve this maintenance issues what I mention.
Understand that you are new on the market but details are making difference.

We'll definitely come back

This is a fairly new hotel that offers convenience of location, elegant and simple design in the public areas as well as the rooms and ever helpful and cheerful staff members. Less than a block away from Saldanha Metro station and set in a nice upscale neighborhood, the Exe is across the street from a large Continente supermarket and a variety of restaurants and coffee houses. I stayed in room 209 the first stay and (one night few days later after a short trip to Evora) in room 309. Both rooms were identical with two twin little beds put together. The room itself was spacious, elegant and had everything I needed, including a refrigerator. Pros:
1. Value for money
2. Excellent and clean facilities
3. Comfortable and quiet
4. Location couldn’t be better
5. Multilingual staff that is gracious and helpful.

I wish there were more hotels like the Exe Saldanha around the world! Will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful two weeks at Exe Saldanha. Everything is new, fresh and kept spotlessly clean. We usually stay at 4* and 5* hotels, but we took a chance on this 3* hotel and were not disappointed! It looks and feels 4*. It does not have a gym, spa, pool, restaurant or meeting rooms (all the things we never partake of in hotels) which would otherwise make it a 4*. Reception and breakfast room staff were friendly, helpful and at all times professional.

Don’t be put off by the location – it’s not smack in the centre of Lisbon. But as you’ll soon find out, that’s a bonus. It feels like a residential neighbourhood. Literally around the corner is the well-connected Saldanha metro and lots of choices of buses to different parts of the city. Public transportation is inexpensive and transfers between the metro, tram, bus, funicular and elevators are free.

If you like walking, as we do, it’s about 40 minutes to the water front – through the old town via Martin Moniz or along the grand avenues to Marques do Pombal to Rossio and to Praca do Comerico.

There is a large Continente supermarket a few metres away from the hotel and plenty of restaurants in the area. In the next street is Restaurante Mae. The highlight of our trip. We went back three times on our visit to the city. And when you’re tired of Portuguese cuisine, Passage to India, some 100 metres away, does a pretty good curry (and that’s the opinion of Brit connoisseurs).

And what an incredible hot and cold breakfast buffet at this hotel! A tremendous range of cut meats, cheeses, cereals, breads and pastries, preserves, and fresh fruits … as well as the obligatory bacon, (chicken) sausages and egg. (After two weeks though we were longing for an alternative like a bit of smoked salmon.) The buffet was frequently replenished throughout the morning – even as late risers, there was nothing that ran out.

The only little issue we had was with the two digital hot drinks machines. They made good fresh coffee but are very high maintenance – needing frequent filter changes or water, milk, coffee beans top ups. One was often out of service and there were long lines for hot drinks each day. The two waiting staff did not have time to constantly monitor the situation. They were busy clearing and cleaning tables, seating guests, and looking after the buffet.

That said, it was all excellent value for money and we’d definitely return.

My wife and I had an awesome stay in Lisbon. Thanks to the staff at Exe Saldanha!

This hotel is a train ride away from the Airport (11 stops) and near the Saldanha Metro Station (a block away). And we went everywhere in Lisbon via Metro.

This hotel is also brand new. It still had the new carpet smell. Everything is clean and updated. The rooms are excellent. Couldn't ask for anything better.

Our included breakfast buffet is excellent and had all the Pasteis de Nata I can have in the morning with their excellent coffee. They have both hot and cold items and different fresh juices.

It is also directly in front of a large grocery store - which is a big plus if you want to save money on food.

We would definitely book this hotel when we go back to Lisbon!

My honest review. The EXE Saldanha is a honest 3-star hotel within a fair price range. The location is good. I even enjoyed walking the streets nearby. The hotel and the room looked new and modern inside. Everything smelled fresh too.
My room from the fifth floor was facing the eastern side of the city so it had a nice view too. The bed was comfortable enough to sleep but I always prefer a bit softer bed. Still I didn't have any sleeping issues. The hotel staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. They organized a taxi to the airport during middle of the night and everything went fine. The breakfast was decent and had fair amount of different food. I just hoped for more fresh vegetables.

The Saldanha metro station is really close and the metro system in Lisbon is quite easy to handle. There is a nice local super market + pharmacy just across the street whenever you would need something. There are plenty of decent local restaurants in the area. Keep in mind that some of these restaurants start opening later in the evenings. There is a fire-station or something like that just across the street and you could sometimes hear some emergency vehicle alarms during the night but I guess that's just part of the big city life. I wasn't really bothered by it.

Overall I had a pleasant stay and I will rate my experience 4/5. Would recommend!

Our trip to Lisbon was really nice, in the middle of the pandemic, couldn't be better.
Staff was amazing and everything was great.

Room was really cool, with a desk if you need to work with your laptop.

The parking was an extra point in our expectations.

The location was the best: you are literally 5'/10' or 15' minutes away from everything, by walking, by tube/bus or car.

Thank you for your hospitality and we will return soon.

Lovely lovely place with lovelier staff. Easy to find from metro, three blocks away. Good sized room, wonderful breakfast ( nothing I could think of missing. They even are preparing us a box breakfast as we leave too early. There is a lovely grocery store two minutes walk. We used wrong plug in and blew circuit breaker first night and, no problem, just changed our room and even offered to help carry our stuff. One night got cooked chicken and salad at store across street. When I asked if they had paper plates, oh no, they gave us glass plates and real silverware and offered to pick it up when we finished. Room cleaned every day.

My wife and I spent 3 nights in the hotel and had a very nice experience. We arrived later Friday night because our flight got delayed. The front office staff were very helpful and courteous. They even recommended a great restaurant walking distance from the hotel. The breakfast buffet team made sure that the food was always full and picked up plates as patrons were done eating.
