While it is a fairly basic hotel, the location is great, a few minutes walk from the main Principe Real area. The breakfast is really good too, with eggs to order (nice change from the all too common continental breakfasts) and free champagne on the weekends!

The hotel is located near the pulse of the city, but one may not want to lug heavy suitcases up narrow cobblestone sidewalks, up a winding hill to get there. The hotel personell was friendly and our two room suite was large, clean and relatively comfortable. Negatives: There was no soap. The internet connection was weak and very slow. The...

There was supposed to be free parking but we had to park several streets away. The location is very central for museums eg the Natural History Museum but we found it impossible to find a basic pizzeria within walking distance. The hotel is tiny, tall and narrow. The air conditioning was OK but the bathroom in our room (which was...

Our situation: It was late at night. The key to our vacation rental was broken, and the emergency personnel were not reachable. So we needed a hotel room that was nearby, cheap, and able to accommodate all four of us in a single room -- simply a place to sleep until we could contact the vacation rental staff during regular...

Bit disappointed with this hotel. Listed as a 4star but no bar and only 3 on street car parking spaces. Can't understand how they got their stars. Don't get me wrong. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was good and well served and the rooms were very clean and comfortable but I would have listed it as a good 3...

My boyfriend and I booked two nights in this hotel and unfortunately it did not match our expectations. -Receptionist are very unpolite, unfriendly and unhelpful too as when we arrived the first day we asked for some basic information about the city.. Without receiving in the end helpful answers! - It is not a 4* star hotel as the furniture...

It is not real 4star hotel. Recepcionists are unfriendly. They hate smile. But breakfast hall workers were great. Their name Pinto and Helerson were wonderful, friendly and polite. Hotel near the city center but hotel's road very high and difficult to climb. It was very tiring. Breakfast is a la cart. You can choose whatever you want. It's ok. Elevator didn't...

I can understand the comments from other reviewers about Principe Real looking tired. However, it is spotlessly clean, comfortable and very friendly. It sits on a hill half way between the main Avenue, close to down town, and the Principe Real district at the top of the hill. The surroundings are, to say the least, mixed but you can say...
