This is a great little B&B in a central location. However you should be aware that the area is a bit rundown just now, the derelict building next door is currently being worked on, whilst the building opposite remains empty. It's an easy walk to the main Market which is great for evening meals, and to the central district. It's...

The hotel location is perfect in Lisbon: located not far from the metro station Cais Do Sodre and the Timeout Ribeira market (quite expensive though), the hotel is located in a nice and renovated building of Lisbon. Room is basic, with a city view, nice and clean, and comfortable (the mattress was a bit too soft for us). The staff...

The hotel is quite noisy since it is at the back of the market hall, at the same time this is also the advantage of hotel: the location, plenty of restaurants nearby, close to the trainstation to Cascais / Metrostation to the city. The hotel is great, but request for a room on the 4th floor (definitely not the second...

Lovely, clean and efficient inside, but set in a well restored old building in a traditional, but vibrant district. You are just across the road from the Mercado Ribeira - half traditional market and half "Time Out" eating place, with a great selection of eateries. The organisation of the hotel is very efficient. Breakfast is good. The staff are the...

Just back from a second stay at Ribeira Tejo - this time for five days. The rooms are very nice and the beds are extremely comfortable. The location is perfect. The thing that really stands out above all are the wonderful people who work there. Sergio, Rui, Matilda and Paolo could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Will be...

Great place, great location, great staff! The rooms are clean. The breakfast is great (Better than most dinner places actually). The place has a cozy, homie feel and if you go with the right partner you will have great sex too- The walls are thick enough. Highly recommended.

The location of this place is perfect for walking around Lisbon and also to transport links. We only had one night here but would definitely stay here again. The staff we met were fabulous we had to leave before breakfast for the airport but they made arrangements for us to have breakfast a little earlier and I'm so glad they...

Situated perfectly opposite the popular Time Out Market and with short walking distance to the train station, trams, metro, bike hire, high street and the riverside was this beautiful and perfectly sized hotel with stunning views across the river and over the city. We enjoyed a relaxed, welcoming and family-felt breakfast every morning with fresh and homemade traditional breakfasts overlooking...

The staff was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They took the time to recommend their favorite places on a local city map and how to get there. Location was perfect, within a ten minute walk to Baixa and Barrio Alto neighborhoods. You could hear the local music scene at night with the windows open, but perfectly soundproof when closed! The...

We loved everything about this hotel - the décor is quirky, with some beautiful pieces of furniture and art in every room, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and cool, the view was great (market and river), breakfast was fresh and delicious, it was very well situated near to the station and river front. Most of all, the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Ribeira Tejo by Shiadu was once by the river… Actually only the Mercado da Ribeira and the Cais do Sodre station separate the fully renovated building of the Ribeira Tejo by Shiadu from the River Tagus. Most of the tiles from the 19th Century were renovated and can be seen from various points of the communal areas and also in some double and family suites. Take the lift to the 4th floor and simply use the stair to go up to the 5th floor, where you will find the best view at the Ribeira Tejo by Shiadu. There is nothing better than friendly and dedicated staff to welcome you and serve you a delicious home-made breakfast where you will have the opportunity of watching the ships go by, crossing under the 25th of April Bridge along with looking out to the Cristo Rei always on the lookout for any movement. Then, filled with energy you may begin your visit of Lisbon through the neighbourhoods of Chiado, Baixa and Bairro Alto which are less than a 10 minute walk-away from the Guesthouse, or if you prefer, you may also get on the No. 15 tram or the No. 28 tram to Alfama and Belem. Follow your instinct... we are waiting for you ! ... more   less
