We book 3 rooms for 5ppl. The guy in the reception was honest enough to tell that the extra bed is not the best for adults. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy. The airconditioner is working quite noisy but apart from that it is a slient street. We enjoyed our stay.

Overall, I was pretty happy with this hotel. But for a few small things, I would have given it an even higher rating. Pros: 1. Very friendly staff. Everyone spoke English, and was very eager to help plan trips, find restaurants, or call a cab. They also let me check in early because my flight arrived before check-in time. 2....

Good points: modern, contempory decor, very clean, comfy beds, great location, Mac and ipad in room, friendly staff, mini kitchen in room with full size fridge, decent hairdryer. Not so good points: noisy pipework banging at night, street noise at night, wooden floors so you can hear anyone clomping around in the rooms around yours, tiny bathroom with not enough...

The hotel is in a great location, close to shops restaurants, attractions and public transport. The decor of the hotel is very modern and trendy, the staff helpful and friendly. Small things could have improved the stay - attention to detail. No water or drinks are supplied in the mini fridge. One complimentary water would be a nice touch per...

Staff were very helpful. We did not have breakfast included but there were plenty of cafes nearby. Happy hours were also very good....

Great location and easy to find in central down town Lisbon. We used public transport throughout the trip (or walked), & Brown's was perfectly placed for this. The room was not quite as interesting as the entrance lobby, but comfortable never the less, and we don't travel to stay in our hotel room all day!! There were lots of gadgets...

I have stayed at two of the three Browns Hotels/Apartments before, they are right in the heart of the city and only 2 minutes walk away from shops, bars & restaurants. Brown are modern places with everything you'll need in the rooms, tv, wifi etc, very clean and the best locations. The staff are helpful, professional and always have a...

the hotel was perfectly located for my needs, the standard rooms are very very small but I knew that and was expecting it. the thing is that in few square meters they stuffed way too many things and , this is my very personal opiniom , I would have preferred less amenities and more space to avoid bruises everytime I...

Great location. Very reasonably priced. Walked from the train station in about ten minutes. The hotel is modern but eclectic, quite chic really. We were able to get into our room early...bonus. The room like the hotel was sleek and modern without being cold. Great bed and bathroom. Loved the Mac computer and the iPad in the room. Unique touch...

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
