we stayed in Casa do Patio for 3 nights. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, they make you feel like home! The breakfast was great, relaxing in the garden plus the variety of food was amazing. The room was spacious and comfy. Location is great, 5 minutes walking from the pubs area in bairro alto and 7 minutes...

We stayed 4 nights in this very charming guesthouse. We had the top apartment which had incredible views across the city! There is no elevator but it's only the 4th floor so nothing too strenuous! The room was perfect, it had all amenities for self catering, the bed was very comfortable and the place was clean and all in good...

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful hotel! Staff is very friendly, chatty, speaks very well several languages and help you find your way in the city. The breakfast is outstanding: plenty of fresh food, best french toasts ever, juicy oranges, Portuguese cakes, crepes,...! Rooms are big, clean & nice! The room we were in has a bathtub which was...

This B&B is located in Santa Catarina, a nice, quiet and authentic part of Lisbon. Mind though that this neighborhood, which is built on one of the hills of the old city, is rather difficult to reach if you are coming by car, because of the many small streets running up and down. But if it's authenticity you want, this...

Just stayed 1 night on trip advisor reviewer recommendations and was not disappointed. Difficult to find without a good map or your phones GPS but once you get there... Wow rooms are gorgeous and pre air conditioned for you. On a 40 degree day that was bliss. Reception and patio area was shaded and very cool. So peaceful. Breakfast was...

Well, the taxi driver said a quarter before that he is not going to drive further. Middle of night that was a bit frightening. The reason was just a badly parked car. There was no place to pass it. But the rest was punctually from the other world! Just as I mentioned, another world inside authentic Bairro Alto. Charming village...

The place has a nice, cozy feel to it but it does take some getting used to. It is not easy to find and it is possible that the taxi driver you end up with may simply drop off you off a couple of blocks from the Casa do Patio. The room furniture in our unit was a bit tired....

Stayed here on our last two nights in Lisbon, and were not disappointed, we were greeted with a smile and a cold drink from Magda, and made to feel straight at home. The patio is beautiful and a real sun trap if you looking to just relax and get a tan. The room was decorated nicely and had air conditioning...

We stayed at the casa do patio from 22 to 26 June 2013. The boys and girls at the casa were wonderful nice and very helpful, even when my husband didn't feel we'll at night. That's a place where you just feel at home.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Shiadu Boutique Guesthouses started in 2007 and is a trademark for "refined" guesthouses, combining the provision of comfort and elegance with a customer service completely dedicated to each of its customers. In Spring 2011, Casa do Patio by Shiadu, the third Shiadu guesthouse, welcomed its first guests. "Wow!" Is the first thing you'll say when you come into the patio for the very first time! This is a wonder that you will not easily find because it is hidden and protected right in the heart of the Santa Catarina neighbourhood, 5 minutes walking distance from Chiado, Bairro Alto and the No. 28 Tram to Alfama. It is on this patio, called Patio das Parreiras, that you can every morning enjoy our delicious home-made breakfast, get all the tips and advice on how to uncover Lisbon and relax at the end of the day by savouring some typical Portuguese snacks... For your stay you have the choice of several options that range from a double suite to a family room or even an apartment with kitchen (lodging 2 to 4 people) with direct access to the patio or via one of the nearby buildings located next to the patio. You may be lost for choice when looking at the various options but with regards to customer service at Casa do Patio, there is only one possible option: a total commitment which will offer you a most memorable stay in Lisbon! Follow your instinct and we will be waiting.... ... more   less
