We spent 5 nights at the Ramada by Wyndham in Lisbon and were very happy with our stay. The entrance to the Olaias metro station is in the same block as the hotel, so taking the metro from the airport to the hotel was easy and economical. The room had conveniently located USB plugs for charging our phones. Although quite small, the room was spotless and maintained well. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The day we checked out of the hotel, the metro workers were on strike, so the bellman called a cab for us. He also offered some suggestions for our upcoming drive to Algarve. A grocery store and self-serve laundry are a 1-2 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is in a quiet location, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area, yet with the metro so close, you can get to many locations in the city within a few minutes. A breakfast buffet was available (for us at an additional charge). It had a great assortment of breakfast foods including scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes, pastries, juices and coffee, yogurt, and cereals. In the evening, personal pizzas were available for purchase in the bar. The only reason I do not give it a 5-star rating is that the hotel did not have a restaurant available in the evening and we found it challenging to find dining nearby.

We are an Italian family and we booked this hotel for a few days in July.
Certainly, the welcome was not as we expected: as soon as we arrived, we got stuck in the elevator for almost a hour and on this occasion the staff were really inefficient, but luckily we managed to get out without any problem. Moreover, the area did not seem very safe at first, with some bizarre men wandering outside in the evening.
Despite all this, we rate our stay very positively: the rooms are very clean and spacious, with a wonderful view of the Tagus River (especially from the top) and with very comfortable beds. Breakfast is also worth-mentioning, with an amazing variety of dishes, included the typical Pastels de Nata. In addition, despite what I wrote before, also the location was very convenient: although the area is a bit peripheral, there is a metro station within easy reach from the hotel, with which you can get to the city center in 15 minutes.
To sum up, we recommend this hotel and we invite you to visit Lisbon, which is an amazing city!

We stayed here for 2 nights unexpectedly when we were delayed on our connection to Manchester after a lengthy birdwatching trip to Brazil.

Admittedly we were very tired when we arrived and so I maybe didn't appreciate the hotels attributes .

Reception was a little cool. I presume everyone had had a rush to get ready for the unexpected intake of delayed passengers from the airport.

The room was clean and comfortable and serviced each of the days we were there.

Breakfast was OK with machine coffee and a reasonable selection of breakfast items.

Dinner was quite basic and uninspiring, although it was OK. I noticed that though busy on the first night, the restaurant was almost empty on the second night. Maybe others decided to take up more inspiring offerings a short metro journey into Lisbon. I hope there wasn't too much food waste as they must have been been prepared for dozens of guests in the same position as us having been displaced as a result of the UK air traffic control failure. We had all been given accommodation and meal vouchers to cover the period of the delay. I was left with the impression that we were something of an inconvenience. It was made clear to us on check in that only water would be available with dinner and we weren't offered anything else eg soft drinks or beer ( obviously anything else would be at extra cost which we were ready to pay). The impression was that of a "school dinner" type of experience for people that didnt have a choice. This was a missed opportunity as we would have liked a choice of drinks ( not necessarily alcoholic as I don't drink alcohol, but a Fanta or similar would have been nice). Finally reception advised us they don't book taxis to the airport but they could arrange a private transfer for €20.(the taxi equivalent was just €7. This seemed to be rather opportunist, and the only hotel I've ever stayed in that have not been able to arrange a simple taxi. The bed was comfortable and there was hot water. Fridge in the room and tea and coffee making. However I did feel that the hotel lacked personal service and attention.

Dear srablair, we would like to thank for your feedback, regarding your recent stay at the Ramada Lisbon, your comments are important to us as they help us improve our service. Please note that the meal is accorded with the airline company, about the other aspects regarding service your feedback has already been oassed to the respective departments as this is not the service we aim for. Regarding the taxis the value is diferent when you reserve a taxi/transfer the price is not the same as calling it on the spot. Once again thank for your time and contructive feedback.

The location is good, close to subway, and relatively close to down town.
The staff are a friendly and helpful lot. Location is good close to a good subway system and not too far from down town.

The property really need an upgrade, not only a renowation - a refurbishment would be good for this place, you could see the wear and tear in most all places. A small bar without windows, a fitness room that really had seen better days.

The restaurant where they served breakfast was too small and understaffed to handle the breakfast traffic on busy mornings.

As for prices the price for a room here was close to some of the cheaper 5 star hotels in Lisboa for this period, while this property was closer to a 3 star than a 4 star they trade under.

Fairly Modern Lobby area, with an express breakfast bar available in Lobby. Bar restaurant on Main floor, as well as restaurant on 1st floor with Buffet Breakfast included in Morning. M room was on the 13th floor, (1310) with a great view overlooking soccer field, rugby field as well as a great view of River. Metro ( Red Line) 100 paces from Front Door. Grocery Store a half block away. Great front Desk Personal in Marco, Sophie, and Bruno. Very helpful to all clients coming in. Maybe 10 minutes from Airport. Most attractions are farther away but can be accessed by Subway or taxi.

We were extremely impressed with this hotel. Staff spoke excellent English and were patient and attentive. Cleaners made the bed each morning as well as folding clothes and sprucing up the bathroom. The shower had excellent water pressure and was hot, and the TV had a big variety of TV channels. It is located a minute walk from Oliais metro stop, and to the left of the hotel there is an excellent and cheap breakfast bar. The bed was extremely comfortable and had no noise issues the entire time I was there. Nice work, Ramada Lisbon, we wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

There is a metro station a few steps away from the hotel entrance. The red metro line that serves the station not only goes straight to the airport, but also passes the Parque De Nacoes development with an Oceanarium, a Cable Car, a mainline train station, a shopping centre open till midnight every day and more. The same line also has interchanges with all other metro lines for access to the city centre. Thanks to a free upgrade to an executive room on the 14th floor, we had great views of the Tagus river and the Vasco Da Gama bridge in the distance. The room was spacious and a lot more comfortable than what we have got for the same money in the city centre. We arrived on my birthday and once the hotel figured that out, they left some chcolate cake and a candle in the room which we found when we got back in the evening. The buffet breakfast had a great variety of tasty food items, both cold and coooked. We had a great stay and we would recommend the hotel to others.

Excellent location, but not worth the price. The shower is awful, water pressure is too low, cannot shower properly. Nowhere to place your shampoo and conditioning in the shower too, can only put them on the shower floor. No shower curtains, only a cover that only covers a part of the shower so the bathroom floor will be completely wet after every shower. The design of this hotel is funny, water pressure for shower is too low but too strong for the sink that you could get water splashing back to your face when you turn the tap on. The toilet next to the meeting room at 2nd floor is strange too, as the toilet paper is located far away from the loo, and you would not be able to reach the toilet paper after you finish your business. It’s always stuffy in the lift and conference room. The design for seats and tables in meeting room are not very thoughtful too, tables not flat, and no cup holders, no where to place you cup of water or coffee during your meeting. No robe, no slippers, no hair conditioning and no toothbrush toothpaste provided in the room. In summary, doesnt feel like a 4-star hotel.

I am currently staying at the Ramada. A group trip for 2 nights. To begin with the toilet didn’t flush and the toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet. They were quick in sending a handyman and he worked diligently on the problem for about an hour but still the flush is hit or miss. So upsetting, I wound up missing dinner because of this. After I finally was able to take a shower I noticed that the big bottle of body soap/shampoo was totally empty. The water went from hot to cold to hot throughout the shower and there was absolutely nowhere to put your own bottle of shampoo etc. besides the floor. What an upsetting introduction to Portugal and especially because of flight times we didn’t sleep at all the previous night. Conclusion is to stay away.

Our room was not a Classic Double or Twin room. It was spacious, but large enough only for the two of us. We did not notice any laundry facility in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
