The staff was super friendly and did everything they could to make this birthday stay a memorable one, Beautiful Gardens and a great historical main building as well as a good sized interior pool were some of the highlights

It was an amazing experience. You can feel like a King staying in such a Palace!! Dining room, all saloons everything is a luxury experience! The location is the only point that can be inconvenient for some travelers. If you are driving your own car (it was our case) it is just 10 minutes to down town. Also you have tram and Bus available....

A Fantastic Building with Fantastische Architecture, Carparking is excellent for Hotel access and avoiding crowded areas. The Garden and outside Pool area was Excellent also. All other amenities were very good also. Highly recommended for Car access and no Stress. 😎

Hi, I don't think Steak would be my first choice in Portugal, therefore I can't help you with that, but local portuguese fare is fabulous any where, lots of great fish. Their main food staple.
The hotel bar has great drinks and it is casual dressing at the bar.

We had breakfast only in our plan. Breakfast was a large buffet and it was very good. Not part of a plan or board: We ate dinner in the dining room, lovely, formal. We had drinks and light meals in the bar area.

i would also take a taxi. you may find difficult to walk to the hotel especially for first time travelers.
