Although during the whole stay it was raining cats and dogs so we could not explore the gardens, the stay was magical, from the moment we stepped in until we left. The receptionists were extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. The room was superb and the restaurant experience unforgettable.

We stayed at a string of posadas all the way through Portugal. This was like a museum. Well kept, well run, nice efficient staff, great price on the posada plan. I would come back over and over again.

A very charming out of time stay, ideal for children as well. The pool, garden and many historical rooms to discover made our stay a whole experience. A very welcoming and friendly staff, a neat, both traditionnal and original breakfast.

I stayed here for three nights on business. The Hotel/Palace is stunningly beautiful and the library will amaze you. It is a little secluded from the main town center and the tourist attractions, but its very easy to get a taxi and costs about 5-7 euros to the town center. The rooms were well appointed, elegant and comfortable

Although most of the guest rooms are in 2 low-rise buildings beside the tropical gardens in the back, we...

This is a great hotel to relax, read and to experience. Stay in and enjoy the architecture and beautiful rooms. Meals are very expensive so I'd go out for dinner/ and or lunch. Spa is lovely and pool a pleasure to enjoy.
