I stayed here whilst attending a conference and it was a lovely hotel. All the staff were very kind and friendly. The room was big and comfortable, as well as being lovely and clean. Also the breakfast was very good. There was a good choice and it was constantly refreshed. All in all a lovely hotel.
We missed a flight and had to book a room for the night. The sir in the reception was extremely nice to us, and he provided exceptional service when we had some drinks in the lobby. He prepared the bottle of wine with ice, also he let us had a pizza from the outside, and borrowed us some cutlery to eat it.
This hotel has many advantages if you are in Lisbon on business and maybe for tourism too if you don't mind taking the subway a few stops. It is an easy and cheap ride on the Red Line from the airport, then a ten minute walk. If you take a taxi from the airport, ignore any claims that there is a surcharge or special rate for airport rides. Insist on the meter. The hotel is on a (mostly) pedestrian street with some decent restaurants and cafes. The Gulbenkian museum is inside a beautiful park that is a five minute walk from the hotel. The staff on the front desk speak good English and are professional. My room was a decent size, well equipped, and clean, as was the bathroom. It looked like it had recently been remodeled. Breakfast came with the room (check that when you book) and has a better than usual selection of hot and cold foods. I had no problems with noise in the hotel. The one minor annoyance is that there is only one elevator and so you may have to wait a while during peak times. Other parts of Lisbon are easily reached by the subway which is clean and seems completely safe. I also never felt unsafe walking on Lisbon streets after dark. I would stay here again.…
Thanks to a blown connection on our way back to the USA via Lisbon, we were left on our own to find a hotel. (The airline's "partners" were all booked up.) The choices for my spouse and me came down to suites or hostel dorm rooms. I couldn't pull the trigger on a suite, and the dorm beds were not acceptable. But, searching further we came upon the SANA Executive, and grabbed the last room available there through the company's website. It was a "short" 35 minute taxi ride in rush hour traffic...only about 10 minutes to return the next morning. (Taxi fare was 6.80 Euros.) The hotel is tucked down a sidestreet, a short 50 meter walk from the main avenue. The entrance is well lit. We were received at the reception with a smile and a quick check-in. The process was friendly and solicitous, especially after we explained our lack of luggage. Luckily there was a grocery around the corner for us to gather a few necessary things. The room (#103) was nice, clean and just what was needed. It was nothing out of the ordinary. Breakfast was on the ground floor. It was very busy and we had to wait about 20 minutes for seating to open up. The selection was good, with fried eggs and bacon making my early morning a happy one. The staff hustled to clear tables and keep the buffet stocked. Despite being out of the way, the hotel seemed to entertain a large number of tourists, as well as business people. After our breakfast we were approached by staff to apologize for our wait, which was totally unnecessary and appreciated. The front desk ordered our taxi and we left. It had been a pleasant evening spent at a nice place. I'd return anytime.…
This hotel exceeded all our expectations - clean, fully equiped room, good free wifi, free parking, good food, very nice staff - from cleaning lady to reception desk officers, great neighbourhood, close to subway - very good value for money.
"All the same,on a quiet street so not really any noise, don't get a room right next to lift shaft!!"Read full review
