The location is good for being out at the west side of the city. It is very close to the Monestary and the Cultural Center Belem (CCB). However, the main city center is about 20 minutes away by tram or 10 by taxi. Bathroom was a good size, the room was rather small. The A/C blew right onto the bed,...

This is by far the best place to stay when looking for a comfortable hotel in the middle of Belem. We booked this hotel because of the festival NOS ALIVE (and we have been there before and that was also great). The staff is friendly, housekeeping is good, rooms are clean, breakfast is included (modest, but ok). Tip: ask for...

First of all this was an inexpensive 4 star hotel and it was certainly nice enough, but the elevator didn't work and climbing those 4 flights of stairs day after day got pretty tiring. It's technically outside the city proper but Uber works great in Lisbon so we used it a lot to get around. We picked this location due...

This hotel is only about its location. All the other things were not so good. The room was small and extremely hot! The air conditioning was also not working at all so we had to open the windows. Our room had a dirty carpet which is unacceptable! The menus in the room were in terrible condition with lots of coffee...

Pleasant hotel across the street to the monestary and walking distance to Torre de Belem, the waterfront and museums...biggest problem was the WiFi...upper floors couldnt get the reception so you have to be at the lobby to get a signal

First, the staff is friendly, helpful and they all go out of their way to make the most pleasant experience. The rooms clean. The included breakfast buffet makes it possible for you to hit all the wonderful locations the city has to offer without pangs of hunger in the middle of a visit. The location, even though out of the...

While this is not a five star hotel but it certainly deserves a five star for location and amenities. Hotel is very modern, with completely up to date, bathroom, way too much closet space, and plenty of floor space in your room. Water pressure is almost too much and the bed is comfortable. The location is perfect for this part...

Lisbon is a charming city to travel comes to see sites and meet wonderful people. Hotel Jeronimos 8 characterized by those features. The people at reception were a great help, always with a smile and patience to provide as much information and assist. Hitel was cer convenient in Belem. Mass transportation was right down the street. Right along the ocean too. There were three of us in the room. Breakfast is amazing and the customer service is excellent. The only bad thing was the shower door leaks water and the showers are high so we had to be careful getting in and out.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is slightly away from the centre of Lisbon, which suited us as we were mainly there for a festival near to Belem. However it was easy enough to get to town by bus or tram. It's very stylish, with a clean and simple design. Staff were very friendly and helpful with...

Staying in Belem

Neighbourhood Profile
Belém is the "capital of the Portuguese Discoveries" and a photographer's paradise. You can spend an entire day exploring this neighborhood: monuments (Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries), museums (Coach Museum, Centro Cultural de Belém) and breathtaking views of the Tagus river will make your visit worth your time. Belém also offers a variety of restaurants and cafes, namely the famous - and delicious - "Pastéis de Belém" (typical Portuguese custard tarts; make sure you buy an extra box of those!). Easily accessible from Lisbon's historic center, Belém is a must-do, especially if you're spending more than one day visiting the Portuguese capital.
