Stayed because the airline botched my flight, good hotel polite staff, view from my room not great , train tracks. The dinner buffet was ok, not exceptional but solid hotel, fairly close (by taxi ) to everything.
We chose this hotel only because of its proximity to the Altice Arena. We went to a concert and did not want to be bothered with public transport. Pros: - location: even if you don’t need to be close to the Arena, the hotel is two minutes walk (on the left) from the Oriente railway and metro station. The huge, attractive marina is just opposite. There is a large shopping centre, plenty of bars and restaurants and the whole area is bustling with energy - online checkin: I did it and it’s convenient - a view, if your room is on the right floor Neutral: - lack of coziness: we never ate in the hotel, apart from breakfast, but the dining/breakfast room is right on the street level, not cozy at all. Also the bar suffers from the same issue, being just next to the entrance. No atmosphere whatsoever. - breakfast: OK, but nothing special Cons: - lack of service: the first morning, the breakfast was room full and there was a lack of cutlery. I uselessly searched for - and asked for - a spoon to eat cereals, but both a hurried female-manager type and a waiter totally ignored me. They even gave me a dirty look because I dared disturbing them from clearing tables. Did not feel welcomed at all - very expensive for a 4 stars undergoing refurbishment and still not up to standards - given the prime location, a rooftop bar would be a no-brainer, instead of sitting next to the entrance. When I am back in Lisbon I’ll definitely stay somewhere else. Even if I do not have any strong negative, I don’t have any positive either, and the price increase because of the concert felt like a mean ripoff.…
Stayed in this hotel on a business trip. The hotel is very clean and well kept up. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is very good and offers many choices. The hotel is within a few minutes of the Metro and a large shopping mall. Would stay here again.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel one night, after touring the Algarve and Porto, because we wanted to be close to the airport. The room was very nice, quiet and clean. The room darkening curtains were great, made the room pitch black. There are lots of restaurants by the water. …
Stayed here for one night before flying home the next morning. The hotel looks great, the rooms have amazing views and were generally comfortable. That said, were were placed in a room near construction and had brown water coming out of our sink. It was late, didn't want to change rooms, but it left a bad impression. Thankfully they provided a bottle of water free of charge. At first glance, it looks like a modern, new hotel. When you dig deeper, it's older and needs some work. The breakfast was OK, but the flow of the dining space and the 'warmth' of the food was not all that great.…
