As far as we are concerned, we received a cold reception. Very little interaction with hotel staff. Fluent English at reception.
Breakfast in a slightly retro but nice room. Buffet style (top hygiene), variety, both sweet and savory. Some products in individual sachets. Not great coffee.
The Room: impeccable and comfortable bedding, clean sheets. Cleaning done every day.
The "problem": while the bathroom is cleaned daily (with daily change of towels), an obvious lack of maintenance in the shower tray, earthenware tiles and faucets.
In short, the establishment deserves a regular inspection of the state of the rooms, a boost of freshness and a little more empathy from certain receptionists. We informed one of them of the disgust of the bathroom, it did not disturb her....
At €100 a night, we might be entitled to a little more respect.
That said, we discovered this city with great pleasure and had a pleasant stay there.

The room size was fine. The bathroom had a large shower but not very much leg room in front of the toilet due to this.
Breakfast was average and similar to other hotels we have visited in Europe. The cakes were good, and we appreciated the bread rolls in bags too. It would have been nice to perhaps offer some pastries as another breakfast option on top of cheese, ham, sausage, toast etc.
Coming from rural England we slept well with the general hustle and bustle of the city right outside, although some nights buskers would be outside our window which was loud but we enjoyed the music and they tended to finish around 10pm.
The reception staff were not friendly. I wasn't at the hotel when my mother asked the guy at reception for a recommendation for an Uber/bolt/mororista.
He recommended a “partner” who charged €400 to take us to Vilamoura. The car was an old taxi, uncomfortable, the driver was rude and rude because upon arrival he didn't help us with our bags and even charged my 88-year-old mother €20 for the tolls. Lack of respect, critical sense. The driver's name was Augusto. I don't know the name of the guy at the reception who indicated it. If you are unlucky enough to stay at this hotel, do not ask for a shuttle service.
Ahh, when leaving the hotel, my mother forgot her water bottle in the room and the guy at the reception didn't let her go get it from the room, as she had to buy a new one. I don't know what his interest is in this. I hope that those responsible for this hotel read this statement and that this helps them to avoid falling into the clutches of opportunistic people who mistreat the elderly
