The Hotel Imperador is a 2 star hotel located in the center of Lisbon, close to the Duque de Saldanha Square. At the entrance is a taxi rank and 200 meters away is the metro and several buses, which can take you in a few minutes to the center of Lisbon (old town) or to the more modern eastern area where the Cable car and the oceanarium are located. Its rooms have been recently refurbished and are even more comfortable, with air conditioning, cable TV, free wi-fi, mini bar and complete bathroom.
It's a nice and clean hotel that enables you to go anywhere in the city due to its location. The room was ok but the bathroom was too small, even for just 1. It can be quite claustrophobic but, on the plus side, my room had a balcony to enjoy Lisbon's Spring evening. Will definitely come back.

I stayed a few days in Imperador for a city visit in Lisbon. The hotel is close to the metro station, easy to reach any places. Also easy to find. We had no problem with the cleanness. Also the room was ok. Our room was at the top floor, so the view was actually great. Breakfast was ok, nothing special, no big choice - just how I expected. Luggage room is just leaving your stuff next to the stairs in front of the reception. The overall picture is ok, but this made me a little disappointed.

Well located, next to the Saldanha station. Traveled alone and stayed for 2 nights in room 706. Bathroom is very small, barely fit 2 people but no problem for me. The ceiling could be improved inside the bathroom, it had mold. Room was suitable with cable tv, air conditioned and good bed. 8th floor had the laundry and a bar, so in the morning you can hear a little bit of noise. In case it happens just talk to the front desk and they will try to solve it. Breakfast is okay. Some choices of breads. No scrambled eggs, bacon and hot potatoes, usually for the american taste. Coffee, tea, milk, juice available. Yogurt and cereal was also available. Friendly staff. Rubem was very helpful and gave me useful info about train hours. For the amount paid and location I would definitely come…

Hotel is located a block away from the Saldanha metro (red line) and thus easy to connect to the city and about 20 minutes to the airport. Rooms are clean and quiet on the rear side, with the staff were helpful and very friendly through out my stay. On request we got a baby cot in the room. Wifi is fast and available in the rooms.

Great Hotel. Not really close to the attractions, but located in the Saldanha area which has like 3 Metro stops and connecting lines nearby. Very budget friendly hotel with all the amenities provided like AC, Wifi, Locker, etc. The rooms were also nice and clean and big in size. The front desk staff was also friendly and guided us around lisbon very well. Only the breakfast was a drab affair with only bread, cornflakes, cheese and jams and meat provided, served with coffee. But it was included in the room rate, so not complaining. Overall would stay here again!

Terrific hotel for those who do not want to spend a fortune merely to sleep! Clean, simple with very helpful and friendly staff. As an elderly couple (65,70) we enjoyed it. Very easy access as located 2 minutes walk from Saldanha Metro where metro lines cross. Close to the Gubenkian Museum and a ten minute walk to a reasonable supermarket. At night we felt perfectly safe coming back late. Breakfast very basic (juice, cereal, yoghurt, excellent breads, plain polony and cheese, jam, honey) but definitely gets you off to a good start. Fridge and safe in room. We had room 206 which was good with excellent free wifi and had a little balcony even. Floor 8 has a bar and terrace for smokers although we did not use this. No problem leaving our luggage at the hotel as we were…

We (2 adults with 2 small children) had a couple of nights in this little hotel. The staff were soo friendly and helpful. Our 3 year old was sick on the bed at night and they immediately brought new linen and took away the dirty one. Yes, the rooms are a little bit dated, or 'vintage', it adds to the charm, the rooms were clean. The beds were all single so we had to join the 2 beds for us all to sleep together but that worked fine. Breakfast was very nice, not a feast but adequate and plenty enough, the bread was fresh and very good. I would stay there again and would recommend.

We got room number 601. It was creepy. Room was very small. There was no minibar (it was in room description and we wanted to store our food there). One of 2 windows was covered by wardrobe so only one small window was in use. There were dirty and old blankets on beds. Dirty bathroom. Room smelled badly, and so air-conditioning. They gave us only two very small and very over-used towels (typical hand-towel size). As a plus: we stayed there only one night.

Stayed here as part of a company visit in the year 2010. Yes, I have gotten down to writing this review years later. Nice place - clean and though a little old. Nice location too - very close to the Metro station. Only bugging thing - breakfast was a drab affair - with the same food everyday!
