Enjoying the best possible location in Lisbon, this modern boutique design hotel is born, like a phoenix, from the ancient structures of one of the first luxury hotels in Portugal. The daring use of the colour Lilac in its façade, right on the traditional Rossio Square, denounce to the world the purposes of reinvention and exclusivity offered to a happy few.

Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!

I'm with mixed feelings... The reason I write this review is to try that things will hopefully change in the hospitality field. We are traveling a lot, things can happen but they shouldn't happen. We got a room that was not well maintained and clean, the toilet was dirty, mold

You could not get a better Lisbon location. Everything is at your doorstep when you stay at this great little hotel. The staff are charming and helpful and while the rooms are small, there's a lift which is a rarity in Lisbon hotels. Most rooms have balconies and the restaurant

Loved the artwork and design ideas of this hotel. Funky and trendy and perfectly located on Rossio Square for our stay in Lisbon. Good choice of buffet breakfast. The reception staff were fantastic at recommending very good restaurants to go to. Without this help we would not

This is a hotel right on one of the central squares, with very helpful staff and an excellent breakfast in a dining room with a nice view. The rooms were very comfortable though could use more closet/drawer space. Excellent bathroom facilities and a couple of nice lounges.

From memory the bathroom of the room we stayed in had sliding glass doors. However you have privacy when bathing. The location of the hotel, friendliness of staff and everything else about the hotel is very good.

Check with the hotel. I would assume that it would be up to 17 or 18, but during our stay we only saw a family with an infant.

Dear Guest As it is said by KF the lift reaches the ground floor. Some of the floors are not reached by the lift and the car can not stop in front of the door only across the street. There are some hot dishes at breakfast like eggs, bacon na cooked vegetables. Thank you Regards, Liliana Conde

is breakfast included?
It was included as part of our room rate during our stay in early September. I agree with others who stated that it might depend on who you book with and when you plan on staying. I would definitely inquire with hotel management and when doing so mention that you are booking based on the good reviews you’ve seen from others who have stayed there.

I rarely use them, so I'm not on the lookout for them. I don't recall seeing one when I was there.

"We were in 406 and loved it. View of the Rossio Square, quiet, balcony, comfortable bed"
"I liked the one on the second floor to the street with strong windows and curtains that keep out noise and the street lights."
"Ask for room with a balcony and if your room is too small ask for another larger room."
"Ask for a view of the Squares"
"Rooms facing the interior patio are quieter, but facing a wall. In case that bothers you, ask for a room facing the street."
