This hotel is to be found in a beautiful square right in the centre of Lisbon. Take comfy shoes because you won't need to cab it anywhere ( unless you want to treat yourself to a TukTuk)! Just about everywhere is within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is definitely different! My husband booked a 'deal' ie flight and hotel... More

We were in Lisbon for 4 days and found the Eden Apartments to be very good value, Wonderful breakfast and the Apartments are right in the middle of Lisbon, Metro right outside the door, and surrounded by great places to eat, with the most stunning views across Lisbon, The pool on the roof is a big plus.

Overall pretty awful. Rooms were very tired and worn out, more two stars than anything else. Wouldn't have minded that too much but service in bar was terrible and reception staff weren't helpful at all. Wouldn't stay there again.

We have just returned home after a 5 night stay in VIP Executive Eden, we could not fault it in any way. We arrived early but our room was ready for us, we had a good sized room with a sitting/living room and a kitchen. We were self catering so cant say what the food was like. Staff were very... More

Hotel is strategically located in the city near most transport eg metro, buses and trams. The hotel is old and would require renovation. It is generally clean which is important to us and has a small kitchen in the room. We booked for double bed and got 2 single bed and the reception said no double bed available that week.

The location of this hotel is good. Which is all I can say good about it. It is in the city center right near the metro station. Lots of tourist attractions nearby. Tourist traps galore! We had one final night in Lisbon and decided to stay closer in for transportation to airport. We had a medical incident and the bar... More

The hotel is located just opposite the bus stop and subway station at the Restauradores Square, therefore is in a very strategic position. The rooms are not very big, but functional, with a small kitchenette equipped with all the accessories and even a door to cook so you don’t have to deal with the smell of food. On the terrace... I was purposely filtering 4 * hotels in lisbon city centre and decided to give this property a go. What a shock it was when i arrived to the room and saw tacky old stylish room, really dark and tired halls and unfriendly reception staff. I was well angry after seeing condition of this place especially after cancelling reservation in... More

The hotel is almost next door to tourist information, and most tour buses stop in the square outside. The station is just round the corner. Our room was good, with facilities for self catering, but also easy to access breakfast room. It had a balcony, but the roof terrace was the highlight, with views across the city and a good... More

I didn't book this hotel, my friend did at a travel agent. It's central for shops, taxis, metro, buses, tuk tuks, and there are good places to eat nearby, or across the roads and down the parallel backstreet, where everything seems lively at night. The hotel was very quiet. We waited ages at reception, and I think we were given an... More

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
