After watching Rick Stein we booked a trip to Lisbon. Two families travelling with teenage boys staying in 2 apartments. Plenty of room, clean, good wifi (essential for teenagers) - just a little dated. The rooftop bar was great - wonderful views across the city. Too cold for the pool but I bet that's fab in summer. The apartments are...

We paid for the accommodation with the child in this hotel. In order to buy a convenient plane tickets, we were sent our questions to this hotel. It was important for us to know the conditions of late check-out, early check-in in the room and other issues. For 3 days we sent more than 6 emails to them different mailboxes,...

We were very happy staying at this hotel as it was central, clean and the views from the terrace were amazing. All rooms have a small kitchen with a microwave/grill, kettle, toaster & dishwasher. I would say that you are better to get a room on a higher level as the lower level does not have a view and is...

The location is excellent, close to train station and metro. In the heart of the old city. The rooms are clean and get serviced everyday. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is decent and quite a variety to choose from. Highly recommend this hotel.

I found this hotel ticked all my boxes as far as location, airport, and service. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good, The yellow buses were just outside the door - highly recommend using them! Stayed 4 nights here and would/and hope to, return again. Thank you.

This hotel is to be found in a beautiful square right in the centre of Lisbon. Take comfy shoes because you won't need to cab it anywhere ( unless you want to treat yourself to a TukTuk)! Just about everywhere is within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is definitely different! My husband booked a 'deal' ie flight and hotel...

We were in Lisbon for 4 days and found the Eden Apartments to be very good value, Wonderful breakfast and the Apartments are right in the middle of Lisbon, Metro right outside the door, and surrounded by great places to eat, with the most stunning views across Lisbon, The pool on the roof is a big plus.

Overall pretty awful. Rooms were very tired and worn out, more two stars than anything else. Wouldn't have minded that too much but service in bar was terrible and reception staff weren't helpful at all. Wouldn't stay there again.

We have just returned home after a 5 night stay in VIP Executive Eden, we could not fault it in any way. We arrived early but our room was ready for us, we had a good sized room with a sitting/living room and a kitchen. We were self catering so cant say what the food was like. Staff were very...

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
