My Story Hotel Tejo receives accolades for its comprehensive amenities and cleanliness, with guests often finding the beds comfortable and the breakfast diverse. Despite some minor room equipment issues, the modern bathrooms and overall maintenance are praised.
However, opinions on service are divided; while the staff can be helpful and friendly, instances of inattentiveness have been noted. The hotel's prime location is frequently celebrated for its convenience in exploring Lisbon, although the trade-off includes some rooms being criticized for their size and occasional noise.

I searched for a long time for a hotel that answered so many questions. I thought I spotted it and... I hit the mark. Connected to a "family" of hotels with the same name but differently specified, the "Tejo" is an underrated three-star hotel in my opinion (lack of restaurant?). Very central location (20 meters from Praça Figueira and 50 from Rua Augusta), it has comfortable rooms with air conditioning, small bathrooms but with huge showers, very clean, quiet, welcoming, very close transport stops (including tram 28), parking taxi 30 meters away, friendly and helpful staff, top-notch "international" breakfast, free wy fy etc. and last but not least, an accessible and adequate cost. To keep in mind.

This is great value for money in such a prime location in Lisbon - highly recommended!
We stayed with our young family in the family room and it worked very well. The bathroom was large and well appointed, and the two sleeping areas meant we could have our own space.
WiFi worked throughout, minibar/fridge and safe plus two tvs meaning we could relax and watch our own channels if we needed.
Restaurant was basic for breakfast but plenty enough to choose from including hot and continental options.
Check in and out was easy and they organised a taxi for us to the airport, which was comfortable and punctual.
I noticed others commented on the fragrance in the lobby so I thought I would - it smelt great and will probably remind us of Lisbon whenever we smell it next!

Lovely hotel! Perfect location where you can walk easily to attractions - or to the metro/bus/train station - and the start of route 28 on the tram is literally 30 seconds walk away!
Quiet at night and air con made a great sleep (and respite from the heat!) Very comfortable beds (and housekeeping made the rooms spotless and welcoming every day)
Breakfast was great with good choices - even for non meat eaters, very happy to be able to choose between oat and soya milk (also had dairy and lactose free!)
All staff were lovely and friendly and could not do enough for us.
Enjoyed the sister hotel practically next door as well for happy hour on their terrace!
Would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to explore Lisbon and hope to return! 😀

The room I have is so tiny, there is no space to put out anything except on a desk. The balcony is too small to go out on and there is no drying rack for clothes. My sheets had some stains day 1 so I asked them to be changed and it took 6 days until they did. I came up to the room after cleaning and there was a live bug on the bed. Then I saw some more and the mattress was stained. They said it was coffee and not cleanable. I said there were dark things on the mattress and housekeeping said they don’t know and left after putting the bugs on the floor and leaving. There should be zippable mattress covers on the mattress to guard against bed bugs and stains. There is no customer service in this hotel. The air conditioning is very strong though. They also have an abundant breakfast. This location doesn’t even show up on a map here.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that you found the air conditioning to be effective and the breakfast options abundant, with a variety of fruit, yoghurt, pastries, and more for a satisfying start to your day. However, we regret to hear about the issues you encountered with the room size and amenities. Our rooms are designed to maximize space and provide comfort within the unique constraints of a historic building. We are always looking for ways to enhance our guests' experience and appreciate your suggestion regarding drying racks. We are also concerned about your report of bugs and a stained mattress, as we uphold strict hygiene standards, including daily housekeeping and thorough room inspections. We are sincerely sorry that the service did not meet your expectations and are reviewing your comments with our team to ensure our usual high standards going forward. Moreover, we regret if our hotel's location was not to your liking. We are situated in Downtown Lisbon which offers easy access to public transport and Lisbon's main attractions. We hope that you will allow us the opportunity of providing you with an improved stay in future. Best regards, Sara Trigueiros, General Manager

Our room on the third floor was quite spacious for the city centre and cleaned well, with all facilities working. It had a digital combination safe in the wardrobe (you need to use 6 digits BTW), hair dryer in the bathroom, and Nescafé Dolce Gusto coffee machine. The shower pressure was good with both rainfall and hand-held type heads, and the double bed was large (probably over 150 cm wide) with a firm but comfy mattress. Bathroom was small - see photo - but had double width shower cabinet. Wide windows could be opened to let in fresh air but which kept out noise when closed. Blackout shutters worked well.
The reception, housekeeping and restaurant staff were all very friendly and helpful. There’s no restaurant other than one used solely for breakfast. I guess if they had one, this could rate as 4*. The breakfast buffet was identical every morning, but was good quality including eggs and bacon, pastries, fruit, yoghurt etc.
I would definitely stay here again.

Modern and super clean room, comfy bed and really quiet nights sleep. Location really made it, Round the corner from square with main bus/tram/tour bus hub. No need to book breakfast as the square and nearby streets have loads of cafe options. If you go up to the castle be sure to ask reception about location of the supermarket which has a lift inside taking you a good part of the steep climb up.

Boutique hotel conveniently situated. Beware the coffee capsules and milk are complementary for the first night only!!! You can purchase additional ones at reception for €1.00 each. This is a first for us in our travels across Europe ( and the world).Magnanimously they will throw in milk capsules and disposable cups.

Stayed here in November 2022 as a solo female traveler in room 207. Hotel is located very central, close to most tourist attractions and it's easy accessible by public transport. Although it's in the busy city center, it was quiet in the hotel, so no noise complaints! I didn't interact with the staff very much, but when I did they were all very kind and helpful. The room was small, but very nice looking and clean. The bathroom was also really clean, with a large rain shower and included shampoo and soap. The room also had an cooler with a few drinks in it, which you could pay for, but I also used it to store drinks from the supermarket next door. It's small, so you can only store small or medium bottles. I didn't have a nice view from my hotel window, as I could see into the building next to the hotel, but since I wasn't in my room a lot, I didn't mind it. Breakfast was great. There were many things to choose from, with lots of Portuguese pastries and it tasted great. When I'll visit Lisbon again, I will definitely go back to My Story Hotel Tejo! :)

Very well run small boutique hotel, part of a chain of 5 such hotels in Lisbon. Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff. Hotel was recently renovated, with clean, well refurnished rooms, comfortable beds, and a large modern bathroom. The delicious hot breakfast was well stocked and staffed, more than ample, and the large breakfast room was very clean. Reliable free WiFi throughout. The newly redone decor is tasteful, and the lobby is welcoming. The location is central and hard to beat, very close to the central square and waterfront. The rates are very reasonable for what is offered and a great value. My only suggestions for improvement are: 1. a suitcase stand, and 2. some shelving for clothes inside the large closets, but these are minor quibbles. I usually stay at a large high-end hotel chain, but this hotel can hold its own, especially the value, breakfast and service. I would definitely stay here again, especially if you are looking for an intimate, affordable and comfortable hotel in a central location with great staff.

We stayed here 2 nights as part of our G Adventures tour. The location is excellent. At first we were assigned a room on the fifth floor but it had 2 areas with low slanted ceilings that were at the side of the bed & impacted the room. So if my husband would stand up from the bed, he would have hit his head. We made the decision to request a new room. The staff at the front desk were able to move us to a 4th floor room which did not have the ceiling issue. The rooms & the common areas were very clean.
The room had 2 twin beds that were pushed together - they were comfortable. The room also had good lighting, decent AC, a desk, chair, luggage rack, a safe, a Nescafe coffee machine with coffee & tea pods & a fridge with items for purchase. The shower was nice but was slippery.
Breakfast was included for us & was very good. We were able to walk many places including down to the river & to Commerce Square. It was also easy to find places to eat.
