Casa Amora is a charming guesthouse in a very quiet neighbourhood only a 20-min walk from the hustle and bustle of Barrio Alto. It is an oasis of tranquility much needed after exploring the often busy streets of Lisbon. We checked in extremely late due...More
We stayed here for 2 nights. The guesthouse is lovely. Very welcoming and the breakfast is great. The location of the guesthouse really suited us too. Would definitely stay again. The bedroom was a good size and had plenty of room
My family's stay at Casa Amora was great. The owners and staff made us feel as if we were part of a large family. Our guest room was comfortable and well appointed. The neighborhood is so nice and friendly. The breakfast served at the inn...More
Room was quiet , clean and comfortable. Bed and linens were so soft and fresh. Staff was outstanding. Breakfast so so good and a different item or items were proudly presented each morning. Great location with street parking available.
I don't know if we could have stayed in a better location for our family reunion! Casa Amora, was beautiful, clean, safe, and incredibly well organized. All the employees there were so friendly and thoughtful and made us feel at home. The food was delicious,...More

It is VERY close, probably a 5 minute walk. The metro is a great way to get you to certain areas of the city provided you don't mind looking at maps and doing your own head work in navigating the city. Uber is also a fantastic option for Lisbon. Super cheap. We used it in the evening when we just felt like being dropped off at the doorstep of our restaurant. (If you do that, call way ahead and make reservations at the restaurant -- the good ones fill up fast with no chance getting in without one).

We stayed in the duplex and there is one flight of steep stairs. It is nonsmoking but just outside the hotel is a park just a few feet away. A great bar just out side the hotel while nonsmoking is full of smokers. Lisbon is very hilly but the area around the hotel is flat. The walk to the central city is about 30 minutes.
This is a great place to stay.
