Casa Amora is delightful! The staff is exceptionally friendly; Juan in particular is incredibly helpful and welcoming. The rooms are nicely appointed and very quiet. Breakfast is excellent---and not just for a hotel breakfast. The cinnamon french toast was the highlight, but fresh juice, organic fruit, very good cheese and cakes, eggs, and the best coffee we had on our...

It's to be listed among one of the most cosy, accurate, fascinating guest houses I've ever been. Luis, the owen, shows an amazing attention to details from the kitchen and its colorful patio to each and very room. Breakfast to be taken in the patio is one of the most gourmet breakfast ever!! True portuguese atmosphere in the house with...

We stayed at Casa Amora for two nights, and so glad we chose this magical spot. We were met by the manager, Juan, who was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. What marks out Casa Amora is the attention to detail they take to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The garden for breakfast is a charming space and the rooms...

Great apartment, fabulous staff (especially Juan) and the terrace - it's fantastic. A lovely place to have breakfast or to have an afternoon drink and talk with fellow travelers, sharing experiences. Breakfast was terrific, plentiful and very fresh. The best accommodation over 6 weeks of travel

We had a wonderful time at Casa Amora. The hosts were attentive and helpful, the decorations were tasteful, our room comfortable and artfully decorated, and our favorite was the outdoor courtyard where breakfast is served each morning. It was the most charming space. Each morning, fresh pastries, meat and cheese were served with freshly squeezed juices, offering a great start...

Lovely location with easy access to Rato Metro Station but also within walking distance downhill to the major areas off Lisbon. The guesthouse comprises of various rooms in a traditional building across the street from a small park, also nearby restaurants. The no charge extras, freshly made quiche, fruit pie and cake every day were very inviting. This was a...

This is a gem of a B&B, in the heart of Lisbon. Staff is very friendly. We have reserved a suite, which had plenty of space and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent with choice of breads, cold cuts, cheeses and egg dishes, served in arbor-like backyard. There is no reserved parking on site, however public transportation (buses and Metro)...

We really enjoyed our stay at this great Lisbon Hotel. The staff is great, the rooms are beautiful and the breakfast is great! Really nothing to complain about. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Amora is a typical building of Lisbon’s early twentieth century petite bourgeoisie, renovated in 2012, with a small outdoor patio for rest or meals and 5 bedrooms (all with bathroom). Each room pays homage to one of the great figures of Portuguese art (painting, music, literature, film) of the last century. The process of renewal and adaptation carefully kept all the decorative elements existing in the rooms (plaster) and exterior (tiles, balcony), introducing a color palette that contributes to a peaceful and relaxing environment. Casa Amora is located in one of the nicest and most central districts of Lisbon, Praça das Amoreiras. In this neighborhood, where the 18th century Aqueduct (that survived the great Lisbon earthquake of 1755) reaches and end, Casa Amora is neighbor to Water Museum (Museu da Mae de Agua) and the Vieira da Silva / Arpad Szenes museum. Residents and visitors have easy and direct access to the neighborhoods of antique shops (Rua de Sao Bento and Rua da Escola Politecnica), historic districts (Bairro Alto and Chiado), Avenida da Liberdade and its fashion shops as well as the shopping center Amoreiras, all at walking distance. ... more   less
