I can't help gushing when talking about the Myriad. Location is out of this world beautiful, its the best place for running and long walks. My room was quite large by european standards, bath tub in the middle of the room was a nice surprise,...More
Originally it was just a tower with viewing gallery on top built during Expo 1998 held in Lisbon. Later the building was added and converted in a hotel. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable with an amazing view. I am staying on 5th floor...More
Myriad certainly is one of the best hotels I ever visited. Spectacular architecture by the river. Enjoy the stunning views from your perfectly decorated room. Great breakfast on the terrace looking over the river. Extremely friendly staff!
Stayed here last year for 3 days in a junior suite. The room had an amazing decor and was very spacious for European standards. We had a great view over the river as well.
The hotel is a little bit outside of the old city...More

Distance to beach Unknown ...... Do you really need a beach? The hotel has no sunbathing area and the pool is indoors. However, you can walk for miles in either direction along the river side with places to sit and watch or eat and drink - but nowhere to build sand castles
You can walk from the airport in less than half an hour - so it won't cost very much at all.

If you mean the main centre of Old Lisbon, then 10-15 minutes by taxi, which are cheap. It would be improbable to walk, as there are industrial/port sort of areas between this hotel and town. Otherwise go to the Oriente train station across the main road, and get a train into town from there. Or the underground I believe goes from there too towards some parts of town. Lisbon is a steep climb city from the coast upwards. So use the public transport as much as possible.

I paid to have some jeans cleaned. It was £5 per jeans. So as usualy pricey pricey as is the same in all hotels. Very well washed though. I wouldn't take the trouble to look for a launderette, just rent an apartment rather than a hotel, and make sure it has washer in it. I am not sure they use dryers as much in Portugal, it's a hot country, so I'd imagine they usually hang them outside.
