I loved Teatro B & B from the moment I arrived at it's picture perfect location in Chiado across from the pretty pink theatre. Close to many restaurants and shops and just around the corner from the renowned Cervejaria Trindade and with spectacular views over dinner at nearby Barrio Alto. The theatrically themed rooms, though small, are fabulously dramatic with...

We spent four nights in Teatro in the summer of 2016 and absolutely loved it! Spotless rooms with a twist, comfortable beds, very sweet and service-minded staff, great breakfasts in the next door cafe and situated at a very central location.

We stayed in Teatro for 5 nights and loved it! Room was spotless, and I was thrilled to see we had a little balcony as we were on the first floor! Air conditioning was a blessing as it was really hot during our stay! Breakfast was really good too, and WiFi worked well.

Small bed/small room but OK. Extremely noisy during WE. We did not sleep at all the first night (saturday) and not better the second (sunday). Noise from (drunk°) people just on the street in from of the hotel. Not recommended for WE's! Good location, though

Anyone who visits Lisbon should try this place at least for one night. The service is personal and attentive. The breakfast had a nice selection of local pastries and cheeses, and the bar friendly bar hostess Sandra provided us with great coffee and good tips on what to do during the day.

The hotel is very centrally located, and the room we stayed in had very updated bathrooms and comfortable bedding. When we arrived, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly and upgraded our room as well. Breakfast is different than in America, but overall a nice selection. We had a very early flight our last morning, so they prepared a boxed...

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
