The apartment and location are good ...there can be a lot of street noise , and there was a noticeable (very) sewer smell in the apartment at times. Apartment is clean, second bedroom is small but workable. Nice living area. No air conditioning but they have a number of fans to help circulate the air.

We spent a week in January 2016 in Apt 269. The apartment has a fabulous location very near Rossario Square. It has been nicely renovated combining modern comforts while retaining the historic character. It is well equipped & beds and furniture are very comfortable. The pictures do not do it justice. There are 2 bathrooms so great for 2 couples....

Was very satisfied with the apartment we got from travelling ti Lisbon. We had an emergency and needed an apartment quick...within a couple of hours travelling to Lisbon had one ready for us. They even brought a bottle of wine for us at check in, wich we thought was a very nice gesture. The apartment was located in the Baixa...

We stayed in Apartment 247 a couple of weeks ago. The apartment itself was great - nicely decorated (a la Ikea), impeccably clean, good size - we were two couples staying there. Nice kitchen with a clothes washing machine. The location is fantastic - we were able to walk to many sites within Lisbon. The only downside that ended up...

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
