Staff always friendly and willing to help. Nice and spacious rooms and public areas, including bar with a very attentively service. Very good location within the new business and commercial area of Lisbon.
5 years later I've returned and I was positively surprised by the changes and staff attitude as in 20015 I've stayed at Olissipo and it was not my best experience. I've stayed from the 1st of July to the 3rd and during the check-in, I was told that I was the first guest after the lockdown ...that got me curious.... Check-in perfect and all the information was given so I did not have any doubts. Bruno, the Bellboy, took my luggage up to my room, as I was carrying 2 huge bags (70 Kg in total ) and showed me al the amenities. The room, that I knew from before, is spacious, well equipped and in the closets you can keep all your clothes. I was really impressed by how clean the room was ....SPOTLESS!! In the bathroom, that has a bathtub, you will find good quality products from the Portuguese brand Portus Cale. The beds are excellent and they will provide you with good night sleep. During my short stay, all the staff was amazing, inquiring if everything was ok and if I was enjoying my stay or if there was anything they could help. The service at the Bar and Restaurant is very good and the waiters attentive. At the moment due to Covid the breakfast it's not a buffet it's a La carte but of very good quality anyway . I sincerely enjoyed my stay at Olissipo especially all the attention given by the staff. Hat's off to Bruno that on his own free time offered himself to helped me to carry my heavy luggage to the train station. I can honestly recommend you to stay at Olissipo Oriente during your time at Lisbon.…
Stayed here for a conference and the hotel was fabulous . Good , large rooms , well equipped , superb professional and friendly staff . For the price I can’t praise it enough . Beautiful coffee in the bar for 2 euros !! And I ate in the restaurant . Really well cooked pork and mushroom risotto and a nice glass of red for €20 ! Can’t recommend highly enough with only a €7 taxi to the historic centre of Lisbon
Reception was smooth and we were soon on our way up to our room. First impression is good but after a shower and settle in we discover that there is not a single place to hang your towel. The room was clean and the TV channel selection and picture quality was good. Reach for a beer from the mini fridge and discover there is no bottle opener! The evening draws in and we discover there is a relaxing low level of lighting but no light over the work desk and no reading lights over the bed, a spare socket for the important phone charger is found by scrabbling around on the floor and when you leave the room the electric goes off so the phone you left to charge is still empty. Retire to the downstairs bar and order a gin and tonic; when the bill comes it is €13. I can buy a full bottle of Gordon's gin for €10.90 from garrafeiranacional and a bottle of Schweppes tonic for €1.80 and still have change out of €13! So to bed; it is large and comfortable and I have a good night's sleep. Down to the breakfast buffet and there is a good selection to choose from. Fresh coffee from a 'pod' machine and a selection of fruit juices and we are off to a good start. Go to the hot food selection, plenty to choose from though the scrambled egg looks disgusting; opt for the fried egg, beans, mushroom, bacon, hash brown and sausage. Back at the table I discover that nothing on my plate is hotter than 40ºC, the ideal temperature for bacteria to thrive and the fried egg appears to be made from soft rubber. The bain-marie under the hot food shows 77ºC so why is the food actually stored at such an unhealthy temperature? The cold selection was however quite good though the pastries were deemed to be a bit stale by my companion. The hotel is close to the Oriente transport hub, shopping, the Large Altice concert Arena, the aquarium, National exhibition centre and the impressive Euro site; with a good nudge from management this hotel could be very good; as it is, beware of it's limitations.…
Warm welcome at reception and quickly checked in. Staff top drawer, very professional and obliging. Room very comfortable, spacious and clean with all the amenities desired. Perhaps they could rethink not including a sachet of coffee or milk, for those, of which I am sure there are many, that do not drink tea. Breakfast second to none, delicious, plentiful, with plenty of variety and all fresh. Coffee also good. Always enjoy starting the day on holiday with a glass of sparkling wine, which was also included in the breakfast. Very convenient for the Altice Arena, Oceanarium, Harry Potter, Casino and airport. I will definitely stay here again.
