There was a well equipped kitchen, living room with sofa bed, bathroom and a separe bedroom which had a cute little balcony which...

My wife and I spent four nights at the B&B in September. Everything was as billed, including the stairs. The terrace rooms were fine but the terrace (and great weather) made the room special. The staff is very warm and helpful. I handed the map Luis sent with confirmation to the taxi driver and was delivered at their doorstep. One...

Thoroughly professional operation with wonderful location in beautiful old town Lisbon. Luis has a terrific team who help him provide excellent accommodation, food and information for visitors. The bed was comfy, the room clean and well furnished, the common area welcoming. We spent five nights at the the Garden view room on Calcade Duque. Delicious meals were enjoyed in restaurants...

I stayed at Zuzabed Lisbon Suites for 3 nights in August. It is my fourth Zuza stay and my second in the Zuzabed Suites. I love it so much. We stayed in a patio suite and it is everything you could want for a home away from home. The room, or should I say apartment, is spacious and has a...

The Zuza B&B is a super cozy place, that makes you feel you are at home. The rooms are small, but they've got everything you need, and very clean. Great location, you can walk everywhere from there, like restaurants, attractions and train station. Breakfast is superb!! They make this yummy cake everyday besides everything else. A very pleasant, clean well-appointed facility but with a few drawbacks: 1) I thought the rate was 56 euros per night per the website. Shame on me for my haste; I was charged 95 euros per night. Switcheroo? Examine carefully before committing; I did not. 2) Although it is non-smoking, cigarette smoke from nearby residences or restaurants permeated my room...

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.

“If you can, take the bigger room with the outside terrace. This room has a big window with fantastic views across the rooftops”

“If you do not want to sleep in late in the morning, book the Garden View Room. You will wake up to the sounds of the breakfast being prepared every morning (the kitchen is RIGHT next to the bedroom) BUT, after breakfast hours, you may never see another guest in the apartment space. You'll likely have all to yourself the living room, dining table and chairs, and lovely windows to supplement the bedroom space. Also the coffee & tea bar/cash bar is in this same space. ”
