We stayed one night in this small, historic hotel which was about a 5 minute walk to the center of town. Our room was on the entry level but at the end of the corridor, furthest away from the lobby. It was a suite with a large living room and a huge bedroom. Both rooms had gorgeous views of Sintra...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Friendly helpful staff who recommended great lunch places but dinner at the hotel restaurant was superb. Great food well presented and a good wine list. A table on balcony gives great views down the valley. The rooms are great, historic and very comfortable in a traditional way.

Lawrence's Hotel is a beautiful building with many attractive features & furnishings - the dining room is especially beautiful. We had a "Room with a View", which had an amazing view of Sintra. The bedroom itself was full of character but the hard bed and uncomfortable pillows let it down. The bathroom was tired and as other guests discovered our...

We had the Lord Byron Suite, which was romantic and quiet, with a small terrace and a beautiful view. Like the rest of the hotel, it was old-fashioned--which is just what we wanted. If you want something trendy, stay elsewhere! Perfect for real Romantics...

What a lovely place to stay, great location within easy walking distance of everything. Woke up every morning with the birds singing and the sound of the waterfall. Lovely view from the balcony. The rooms were large and comfortable.

we stayed 2 nights in April. The hotel is superb. location is great, 3 mins from the town center, on bus route for tours. Our room had a breathtaking view, good room, great bathroom and the hotel is so historic. Ate in the restaurant for dinner. really outstanding food and great service from friendly staff. If you intend to go...

Historically, this hotel was interesting with a fantastic location. We parked the car for 3 days and didn't use it at all while touring the sites. The staff was friendly. Our room was on the 2nd floor street-side and we heard 24hrs of cars, busses, construction vehicles, tour groups and drunk people walking home. I can sleep through anything but...

The stay in this hotel was like traveling back in time... The XIX century looks, the food, everything is wonderful. Sintra is indeed a magical place, and this hotel (one of the oldest in the Iberian Peninsula) makes a perfect add on in this set. Highly recommend :)

I have long had this little hotel on my bucket list. But I am sorry to say that since my last visit to Sintra 10 years ago it has come under new ownership. And not for the better... I really wanted to give this hotel a higher rating but there were just too many things wrong. There is still a...

There are not a lot of options in Sintra i believe this was the best option in the village. The boutique hotel gets better ratings, I don't see it. Lawrences hotel is a striking old home just a block or two from the main square it is very quiet the staff was friendly and the rooms were really really beautiful...
