We are very happy with our stay in that charming hotel. Our room was very romantic; they are various nice and comfortable lounges. It is very quiet and though in the center of the historical city. The staff (reception, breakfast) was very friendly. The person at the reception showed us 2 rooms for us to choose, which was nice. There...

This is a lovely hotel situated a short distance from main square. It is very quiet and small but not boutique hotel with a tiny bar. It is supposed to be 5 star but more like 4. There was some noise from the airconditioning but rooms and bathrooms were large as was the veranda. Would highly reccommend but do not...

This is a charming, old-fashioned (in the nicest sense of the word) hotel. Our room was quite spacious with a separate sitting area and had a beautiful view. Breakfasts were good and the dinners were delicious. Very good staff. One gripe - the air conditioning broke down twice in the middle of the night. Liked the fact we were given...

We stayed two nights in Lisbon and then traveled to Sintra and stayed two nights at this hotel. We strongly recommend that you use this strategy as Sintra and Lisbon both are really great overnight touring and dining experiences. Lawrence's Hotel is a beautiful historic inn with lovely furnishings and interesting sitting areas and balconies. It is not exactly cheap...

One of the oldest structures in Sintra this hotel is worth leaving Lisbon for. Do not do day trips from Lisbon. Stay here and explore the countryside a little. We had a great three days using this hotel as a base. True historic inn with alcoves, sitting rooms and creaky floors! Very beautiful but don't plan on sleeping inn as...

My husband and I ended our trip to Portugal in Sintra and chose Lawerence's Hotel to stay in and what an absolute delight it was! We found the staff of the hotel very accommodating right from the time that we booked six months before our trip. Before we confirmed, we wanted to make sure that there was a taxi to...

We didn't stay at Lawrence's but had many nice lunches over there! The place is known as expensive, but it wasn't. Really beautiful terrace. Classy restaurant. Really worth visiting even many times.

To be fair: Lawrence is in a very good location. It's just a short walk from the historic centre, and there's a bus stop just next to it so you can go up to the Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle pretty easily/ it also oozes charm in a very country-manor kind of way. We stayed for three nights; and...
