Room was small, double bed was also small, we could hear everything that went on next doors, not enough light in the bathroom, carpets were stained, we could not see the tv from the bed, wifi connection only works with vouchers that you have to change on a daily basis, dinner at the restaurant could have been much better quality...

A first-class start to our Portugal vacation. One of the nicest hotels we have ever experienced. Excellent food and service, and the staff was consistently helpful. Fairly short walk to restaurants and stores.

My wife and I stayed here with a few friends for 3 nights. Although our room was small we had an enormous balcony extending over the main gateway to the palace. Hotel had the typical charme of an old palace. Breakfast and dinner were very good. The personal was very friendly and helpful. It's a quiet place without much action. WIFI was very slow and needsneeds improvement.

Our room (number 5) had an outrageous view of the palace from both our private balcony, and our bed no less. Room was small, but hotel had tons of indoor and outdoor space for guests that was beautiful. Only shade I'm going to throw is that I had to pay for internet. Come on guys, it's 2016. That was annoying.
