Lots of light in general but you find dark and worn places. Nice balcony to the sea. Nice bathroom. Fine small kitchen although we did not cook. We would have preferred armchairs instead of the minimalist chairs - and a small table in addition. Bathing towels could be borrowed in the reception without charges and registration. Nice pool bar with...

We had a nice overnight break in Porto Santo while staying in Madeira and chose the Luamar. It is quite a walk from the ferry but we stopped for coffee and cola on the way. Gorgeous location and we were given a good room, very clean and a view of the sea. Caught the last minibus back to town for...

We stayed here for 2 wonderful weeks. It was chosen for accessibility for my Mum and closeness to the wedding we were attending at the fort next door . Our room was ground floor straight onto the garden and sun lounger area and very convenient for my partner to pop outside and smoke ! The hotel breakfast was delicious and...

The hotel is on the shore and is almost at the end of the locality. One has easy access to the beautiful beach. Our room was sea facing making our time wonderful. The combination of facilities, location and staff make it one of the best beach hotels we have been to.

The hotel is situated on a popular beach where you can dance the waves with Joâo and his water sports. He teaches wind-surfing, surf paddling and many other water sports. The hotel and staff are very professional and ensure the best of your stay. Sunset walks on the sand of Porto Santo and the islands well best-kept secrets.

Massage with Rosemary After an injury falling from my bike, my arm was heavily bruised. I was told about Rosemary, who is a massage specialist from Brazil. She came to the Atlantic island of Port Santo the archipelago of Madeira Portugal in 2003. However, she felt oversized weighing at 115, kg. In 2011, she decided to do something about it....

I stayed there with my husband and his parents for 5 days in September. We have bought a package including the cruise voyages, a car and 2 rooms in "Lobo Marinho" (the cruise company that makes daily voyages between Madeira and Porto Santo Islands). At first I was a bit apprehensive because we needed calm holydays and the package only...

Very friendly staff a fair breakfast and 50m from the room to the beach sand. The drawbacks is the age of the rooms that could be modernized, and the location that is on the far end of the urban area. Be aware that if you have dinner included you will be transported in specific hours to other hotel

Excellent position for exploring old Funchal, but having sea close by, a very nice non-multi storey hotel. Beautifully kept gardens and outside areas. Attention to detail good, with staff training and cleanliness excellent, room and bathroom very easy to use .But be careful which plug you use for recharging any electronic apparatus. Swipe card room access controls lights and some...

“Ocean front rooms have the best views and less noise issues. I've booked a mountain view room, but stayed on the right side of the hotel (partial ocean view/partial neighbour garden view) and did not have any problems at all with noises from the road or the parking of the hotel. :)”

“Be aware that until December 2014 (at least) Funchal harbour has very noisy heavy engineering work being carried out, so if possible avoid rooms to the west side of the hotel. Ask about how they manage their air con system in the rooms, as it can be on when you don't want it to be as it is based on a 'general' ambient temperature over which you have no control”
