Absolutely love this hotel, the staff are friendly, the refurbishment had been done to a really high standard, I would highly recommend upgrading to a sea view but even if you don't the views from the bar area/outside terrace are stunning. The location is great for us as we like a walk but there is also a bus stop outside... More

We stayed at the hotel in late September, and paid a little extra for a see view room with Balcony, which was well worth the extra money. The views from the balcony were stunning, with a panoramic vista of the sea and coastline towards Funchal itself. The room was clean, bright, well proportioned and with fresh modern decor and furniture.... More

Really nice hotel. Room is lovely we paid extra for a sea view and its definitely worth it. Food is lovely. We are half board. Unfortunately there is no games room. Thomson website says there is still one here. Disappointed when we found out it is no longer here. Location very nice. Spa very reasonable €5 a day pp.

This is a newly refurbished hotel in a great location. Great views and easy to get to so many restaurants & bars without the need for a car. Breakfast was ok but not sparkling. Drinks in the bar very reasonably priced for a hotel but it would help if the barmen could smile . The staff are a bit hit... More

Just spent a week at Baia Azul. We visit Madeira regularly and usually stay at Ocean Gardens, however there was no availability there, so we ended up booking Baia Azul. Lovely hotel, superb renovations! Pleasantly surprised, as we enjoyed the location of this hotel very much. Just returned from a great week at Baja Azul. Rooms are modern spacious and comfortable, very clean and well presented.
