The place is a little outside of Funchal, in Monte - about 12-15 euro taxi ride from the center. Stefania was super helpful with information on public transport, what to do. We forgot something in a taxi from the airport and she helped us track it down! Room was clean, with a good view of Funchal. Not a lot of... More

location is very good and quiet beautifull view, very good the breakfast in the garden , the lady owner is helpfull and give us a warm welcome. The only big problem is the long and very hard walk if you want to move without your personal car, bus is not granted expecially in the evening/night, and the taxi absolutely unreliable.(2... More

We stayed in Casa do Caseiro for a week and would recommend it to anyone. The place is nice and well kept, the owner is very friendly and really helpful. Breakfast at the beautiful terrace is a treat every morning - enjoying the view over Funchal and the harbour. The only disadvantage maybe is the long and steep walk from... More

The hotel is located near Monte which gives you a great view over the city. It's a bit of a hike but absolutely worth it. The bed was good and breakfast very good with fresh, warm bread. Absolutely recommended to explore the city!

We visited Funchal on a Cruise Ship and went up the Mountain by Cable Car before doing the Toboggan Run. From there we decided to walk down and after about 500 metres we came across Casa Do Caseiro and decided to stop for a quick drink. As we went into the private courtyard we marvelled at the fantastic display of... More

Stayed in December. The host is very friendly and helpful, thank you. Room and the place were clean and beautifully maintained. Had a lovely breakfast in the beautiful garden, with a small pond and passion fruit trees.

I had a short stay in Casa Caseiro and could have happily have stayed for much longer. The owner, Stephanie, could not have been more helpful and went to great effort to make my stay comfortable. The hotel is set uphill from the main town and offers fantastic views of Funchal and the ocean, the decor is very tasteful and... More

What a hidden gem, half way up the hill to Monte and just below the end of the sledge run. The local bus is just up the hill and runs regularly into the city and costs E1.90. There is free easy parking just down the road. The streets are steep so if you have dodgy legs transport is a good... More
